Y'all should go check the comments to Ted7864's channel. Judging from the reactions there, the above post is pretty tame for him. Wonder how long he'll last on YouTube before he gets booted for his antisocial behavior? What a pathetic child for someone who lists his age as 35.
@Ted7864 as a handicap man!! damn! we don't get the best parking spots. bc dumbasses that can walk park in the good spots!!!!! i wish those people would STOP DOING THIS!!! they are so lucky that i'm not a cops
It was invented several years ago. Uses the same technology as a Segway. It's used the same way any powerchair would be used. Unfortunately, the iBot was discontinued this year. High cost, lack of insurance funding, and little flexibility in customizing for the individual's needs (seating, for instance) killed it. It was a good idea, but maybe a little too far ahead of its time.
what a really good invention,,bit sad to hear in the comment below that theyve stoped making the ibot,,but im sure now that people have seen it,,itl only be a matter of time before some company picks this project back up again..
If someone bumps into you, the gyros compensate. Someone would have to bump into you awfully hard to knock you over. When you're sitting still in wheelie mode the chair is constantly compensating. If you change you center of gravity, for instance, you won't become unbalanced. Works the same as a Segway.
this thing is awesome. since this things is first generation technology, of course it'll be expensive, but in a couple years these things will be amazing.
AWSOME!

There are better stairclimbers with gyroscope than IBOT.

"but maybe a little too far ahead of its time."
No way, it's totally appropriate for its time.
