You never get over an addiction but like grief you learn to live with it. I went into a 30 day program. I attended 12 step meetings prior to treatment and for years after. I still go sometime but not as much. You have to be willing to go to any length to stay clean; the same way you go to any length to use.
Go to meetings, get a Sponsor stay honest with her and yourself. Don't hang around people who use. Get a program and follow it.
Listen to 12 Step recovery stations and stories of overcomers. see: the recovery emporium online for stations and other info.

Crack is the worst drug on the planet. It took me ten years to completely stop. I didn't even do it that much. Maybe 2-3 times a week, but it takes you to the cleaners. I used to smoke a quarter pound of marijuana a week and it didn't do one-tenth of the damage that smoking a gram of cocaine a week would do. Crack will kill your soul.

I went into a 30 day program. I attended 12 step meetings prior to treatment and for years after. I still go sometime but not as much. You have to be willing to go to any length to stay clean; the same way you go to any length to use.
Go to meetings, get a Sponsor stay honest with her and yourself. Don't hang around people who use. Get a program and follow it.
Listen to 12 Step recovery stations and stories of overcomers. see: the recovery emporium online for stations and other info.

I tried it a few times years ago but i didn't get hooked.
So it's not true everybody gets hooked after trying it a few times.
I felt horrible after 30 minutes so i don't get the attraction of it.
Nowadays i just smoke a joint with weed now and then.

so true! But some people that use crack would have shitty lives anyway, regardless. The only reason a lot of crackheads have money to burn in the first place is from dealing the stuff. So it's not like they're losing money they would've had if they weren't involved in drugs... But it's a nasty drug - good advice not to try it once even.
