Just because Cows don't lick your face doesn't unfairly make their lives lower than dogs. It's either you eat all animals or you don't eat any animal. For 2 thousand years dogs are food for Filipinos, Chinese, Cambodians, Laotians, Vietnamese, Koreans, Indonesians, Thais etc. Only in the late 19th century when a novel "White Fang" half fox half dog, did the Westerners started to glamorize dogs.Horses loyally fought with men in battles and Cows flow the fields. Dogs aren't any higher than any other animals.

I don't agree...dogs guide the blind, pull sleds and aid the hearing impaired, serve the military, preform police work and save people's lives. There's definitely a deeper bond between dogs and humans than cows and chickens to dogs. If it was the same thing than dogs and cows would the same animal.

Dogs "serve" humans because we have bred and trained them to do so. Pigs are actually far more intelligent than dogs, and there are seeing-eye pigs, etc. Its speciesist to assume that one species is "better" than another based on what humans can get from them. All creatures can benefit people, and loving dogs while killing the others is speciesist and hypocritical.
