@psmTARDCORE I don't know where u live but here in NY almost every 335i is modded unless some old granny is driving one. And the JB3 doesn't void warranty, all u have to do is take it out and scan the car with a BT cable and clear the codes before taking it to the dealer and you'll be fine.
This video is inspiring me to mod my loaded 07' Space Gray 335i Coupe...I already own a JB+...have to have it at 50% though since I live in California and we don't have higher octanes. Still, $279 for an additional 60hp and 70tq (with potential of 80WHP/80WTQ w/ better gas) is not bad.

All of the trash talkers surprise me. We just watched a BMW 335i with a $1000 upgrade hang with a Lambo... what's not to love? The BMW 335i is an incredible car, and it's one of the cheapest cars to pull more HP out of. I have a 335i that is completely stock except for a BMS filter and a $300 JB+ piggy back. I've pulled 0-60 times of 4.3 seconds and a 0-100 in 10 seconds flat. That's $500 worth of mods for sports car performance... it's hard to beat.

Lambo is a good race with the 997 turbo and 335 V3 does NOT hang with even with the 996 turbo so in this video the 335 either took a HUGE jump or the lambo guy didnt know what he was doing
@Darknessfailure I would recomend turbo charged engine as long as its never been tampered or modified with full main dealer history and if you do want to modify it get the latest BMW software from main dealer ,they keep the mods with in the engine/turbo stress levels.
The turbos will be fine, make sure you purchase a car with the High Pressure fuel pump issue resolved, if it had one. After warranty it will run fine past 100k if you dont constantly abuse it with a tune.
they fitted the engine with uncomplicated, million times build turbos who easely last more than 200.000km. the only problem on this engine is tuning because they have a bit of a overheating problem with the stock oil cooler. that means, do NOT buy a tuned car and a stock oil cooler!
If you get a larger, better flowing intercooler would that take care of the overheating issue alone? Or is it just the oil cooler that needs to be upgraded? Thanks

let me explain you something..5.7sec or 4.7sec are computed by audi's or bmw's company without physics..without the advantage of awd for s3 and the disadvantage of spin for 335i! i did drag race here in greece with 135i which has the same engine as 335i but is lighter and with m3 e46..at both races my s3 won at 400m! i can say that 135i was more competitive than m3. that was my fact...many people saw my race and my s3 is stock..
You do know every race and every driver are different. I didn't get those figures from Audi or BMW, I got them from Motor Trend - an independent professional review of cars. My 335i has zero wheel spin, it just gets up and goes. Perhaps the one you raced had different tires than mine.
The 335i is faster than the e46 M3, and with the JB3, it's faster than the e9x M3.
the 135i that i drag had only 3500km..and the tires are potenza one of the best tyre for fast cars and he didnt do burnouts or sideways to destroy them..but it spined at the 1st gear for 3-5 metres..that it was enough to pass him from the start about one car front of him.also the driver is experienced because with his old car 330 was doing all the time races

I haven't raced an S3, as they aren't available in the US, but I dusted a new S4 recently.
stock for stock the 335 isn't faster then the e46 the e46 has a touch more grunt from the higher reving motor but obviously with the jb3 its a shit load faster
That hasn't been my experience. The 335 and e46 M3 are very close but the 335 is a little faster. I raced mine against a stock e46, and it was close until 80, which is when I started putting space between us. This is before the JB3.
was the m3 you raced smg ? im not defending m3's cause my 2 friends raced and the 335 lost to the smg m3 every time but it was very close the m3 only won by half a car

first of all it is not chip...its remapping...second you have a 3.0L bi-turbo with 306hp stock and i have 2.0L turbo 265hp...third if you spent 500$ you go to 350hp and if i spet 500$ i go to 315hp..and then your 335i with more hp again wont have chance to win..cause of the physical rules of spinning at all rwd..!porsche has the best rwd starts because has the engine back but its still spins a little bit!

Interesting how the 335i out-accelerated the Gallardo below what I'm guessing was around 100 mph. A tuned N54 engine just has amazing power delivery.....but there was no questioning that it would be no match against the Lambo's extra 100 hp once they went past 100 and it was a fight against the wind.
totally the 335i chipped will rip it in the low gears pulling on most cars but once these normally aspirated cars hit 100-120 they will start to walk them and eventually leave the 335i in the background...
predictable. With my overpowered pile I take on ALOT of very powerful cars .... Then about 140-150 i hit an aero wall and they slowly pull past. (Its essentially a 10s car with great road going suspension. ~588whp)

only one possible explanation: x-drive and slippery roads. The sedan lags at first because of the extra weight but then wins because of the extra grip. The same would not happen on a race track. Or with both on x-drive
I think it is a little dream on beating a lambo by just modifying that little chip. Again, 335 is nothing just having two turbo over a 330i engine. So, another day dreamer adding into the Lan Evo and STi group.
First, the BMW e9x 328i has a 3.0L direct injection, straight six engine, not turbo'd. The engine on the 328i is called the "N52B30."
The 335i has the same identical 3.0L direct injection straight six engine as the 328i (Not the 330i as that was not direct injection). The main difference between the 328i and the 335i is the twin turbos (and their needed components). The 335i's engine is called the "n5430b."
Depends on what stage Vishnu you are talking about. If you get the $2.5k shebang you'll see around 400-420hp at the crank with more torque than an RS4. That should make things even in a line. The only problem is that the 07' and 08' can have/will get cooling problems and HPFP with a more aggressive map and boost. If you really tune it well and buy aftermarket cooling with the ProCede, you will run about even with an RS4 or M3. You'll see more aftermatket w/ more power soon for the 335i.
Nope, add a jb3 pnp not a v3, a code 3 intercooler, riss downpipes and catback and dual injen intake- filters. It will be an m3 killer. Although i also like m3's. But 2 turbos with a straight six is sex!
There are really some annoying idiots who can't understand that BMW 335i is one of the best sports cars ever built. I runs close to other super expensive cars like Ferrari, Lambos, Porsche, MBs, and it only has a 6-Cylinder engine!! It is not just the speed and acceleration, a BMW is far superior in handling, fuel efficiency, durability, and overall cost of ownership. As an anecdote, a few months ago, an idiot Corvette driver tried to race me on a FL hwy while it was raining. He tailed my BMW for at least 10 miles when suddenly we run into a few spots of flooded water, the Vette hit the water and lost control, spinning into a horrible car wreck. Traction?

I have seen street legal 700hp Evo's to 850hp street legal C6 Z06's built by Lingefelter. Thats a 6MT 335i also. The auto has a taller gear ratio and is faster, especially once you start adding that kind of horsepower to take advantage of the gears. I wonder what other mods the 335i had. I would like to see what kinda race it would have been from 0 mph.
I have just sold my 335i coupe, the paper out put is 306 HP, but real power of stock 335i is about 330-340 HP. Now I want the Z06, but I might made a mistake, the V3 is pretty fast!!!

I've raced many cars and if you go a bit on youtube than you find more videos... The Gallardo in this video is faster, so...
If you take a manual gallardo vs DCT 335i with around 400ps.. the difference isn't that much... Gallardo also looses some power cause of the 4wd.

None of these mods are good for the long run as they stress the turbo/engine and BMW will not honour the warranty once you blow it.

let me explain you something..5.7sec or 4.7sec are computed by audi's or bmw's company without physics..without the advantage of awd for s3 and the disadvantage of spin for 335i! i did drag race here in greece with 135i which has the same engine as 335i but is lighter and with m3 e46..at both races my s3 won at 400m! i can say that 135i was more competitive than m3. that was my fact...many people saw my race and my s3 is stock..

You do know every race and every driver are different. I didn't get those figures from Audi or BMW, I got them from Motor Trend - an independent professional review of cars. My 335i has zero wheel spin, it just gets up and goes. Perhaps the one you raced had different tires than mine.
The 335i is faster than the e46 M3, and with the JB3, it's faster than the e9x M3.
Please tell me how M5board vids are fake?

the 135i that i drag had only 3500km..and the tires are potenza one of the best tyre for fast cars and he didnt do burnouts or sideways to destroy them..but it spined at the 1st gear for 3-5 metres..that it was enough to pass him from the start about one car front of him.also the driver is experienced because with his old car 330 was doing all the time races

stock for stock the 335 isn't faster then the e46 the e46 has a touch more grunt from the higher reving motor but obviously with the jb3 its a shit load faster

That hasn't been my experience. The 335 and e46 M3 are very close but the 335 is a little faster. I raced mine against a stock e46, and it was close until 80, which is when I started putting space between us. This is before the JB3.
But every car, driver, and race are different.

yes it was SMG. my 335 is auto w paddle shifters, which I didn't like at first, but have since gotten very good.
I guess it just depends on the cars/drivers. I've seen a few vids on here of the 335i beating the e46, and vice versa.
After some DP's and the JB3, the e46 is toast, and the e92 M3 can be beat.

thats sweet man, I just came out of an 06 CTS-V - I freaking loved that car so much. What year is yours? I wanted to get the 09, but at the time they weren't leasing and I couldn't afford $1100/mo payments. So I went w the 335, and I'm happy. But I'm always looking at the prices of used V2's.

first of all it is not chip...its remapping...second you have a 3.0L bi-turbo with 306hp stock and i have 2.0L turbo 265hp...third if you spent 500$ you go to 350hp and if i spet 500$ i go to 315hp..and then your 335i with more hp again wont have chance to win..cause of the physical rules of spinning at all rwd..!porsche has the best rwd starts because has the engine back but its still spins a little bit!

Let's face it by the time the lambo got into its stride it was game over. Quik squirts on the street is all we get to do. I mean who wants to get pinged at 250+, i'd rather smoke someone to about 150 and then get on the piks ready for another run.

By the way, any idea what top speed was reached in this race? Did the owner of the 335i disable his speed limiter using his V3? Just curious.
Interesting how the 335i out-accelerated the Gallardo below what I'm guessing was around 100 mph. A tuned N54 engine just has amazing power delivery.....but there was no questioning that it would be no match against the Lambo's extra 100 hp once they went past 100 and it was a fight against the wind.

totally the 335i chipped will rip it in the low gears pulling on most cars but once these normally aspirated cars hit 100-120 they will start to walk them and eventually leave the 335i in the background...

only one possible explanation: x-drive and slippery roads. The sedan lags at first because of the extra weight but then wins because of the extra grip. The same would not happen on a race track. Or with both on x-drive

I think it is a little dream on beating a lambo by just modifying that little chip. Again, 335 is nothing just having two turbo over a 330i engine. So, another day dreamer adding into the Lan Evo and STi group.

First, the BMW e9x 328i has a 3.0L direct injection, straight six engine, not turbo'd. The engine on the 328i is called the "N52B30."
The 335i has the same identical 3.0L direct injection straight six engine as the 328i (Not the 330i as that was not direct injection). The main difference between the 328i and the 335i is the twin turbos (and their needed components). The 335i's engine is called the "n5430b."

Depends on what stage Vishnu you are talking about. If you get the $2.5k shebang you'll see around 400-420hp at the crank with more torque than an RS4. That should make things even in a line. The only problem is that the 07' and 08' can have/will get cooling problems and HPFP with a more aggressive map and boost. If you really tune it well and buy aftermarket cooling with the ProCede, you will run about even with an RS4 or M3. You'll see more aftermatket w/ more power soon for the 335i.

Nope, add a jb3 pnp not a v3, a code 3 intercooler, riss downpipes and catback and dual injen intake- filters. It will be an m3 killer. Although i also like m3's. But 2 turbos with a straight six is sex!

There are really some annoying idiots who can't understand that BMW 335i is one of the best sports cars ever built. I runs close to other super expensive cars like Ferrari, Lambos, Porsche, MBs, and it only has a 6-Cylinder engine!! If you think that accelerating from 0-60mpg in less than 5 seconds is not 'sporty' then just shut the f.... up, and go drive your camaro or something.

I have beaten so many 335i's in my 370z it sickens me to think how they change from being slower than my z with full bolt ons to being a montster with tuning software with JB3 and Dinan packages. And rarely, RARELY, do you ever see a JB3 335i. there is a thing called warranty and most people like to keep them

It is not just the speed and acceleration, a BMW is far superior in handling, fuel efficiency, durability, and overall cost of ownership. As an anecdote, a few months ago, an idiot Corvette driver tried to race me on a FL hwy while it was raining. He tailed my BMW for at least 10 miles when suddenly we run into a few spots of flooded water, the Vette hit the water and lost control, spinning into a horrible car wreck. Traction?

I have seen street legal 700hp Evo's to 850hp street legal C6 Z06's built by Lingefelter. There will always be something faster but i know one thing, unless your 35i is heavily modified, you aren't comming anywhere a C6. The C7's are comming. be. afraid.

A 3-series is a family car. It is NOT A SPORTS CAR! So a 2 door coupe?? Big deal. An Accord sedan has a two door coupe counterpart as well.
I drive a 330 CI ZHP so don't you tell me what "sports car" a 3-series is. It feels and drives like a family car that happens to handle exceptionally well and drive quite well. Nothing more.
If you want a 3-series sports car, get the M3 that is built as one from the ground up to handle and go fast around a race track.

The chasis was designed for the sedan first dumba** and then adapted for a coupe. D*psh*t and if you know anything about BMWs the BMW sedans handle much better and stiffer than the coupe because of the rigidity the B-pillar offers on the sedan.

A 2 door car is not ment to have more than 2 people in it.
A family consists of a mother, father, and child/children.
It's a huge pain in the ass to have to pick up the seats for anyone to go in the back, so if you are planning on using this car for 3+ people, you will not enjoy it because it was not designed for that.
It's a sports car for an enthusiast, not for a family man to transport his family and groceries.
Sure it can be used for that, but it's not designed for that.

Thats a 6MT 335i also. The auto has a taller gear ratio and is faster, especially once you start adding that kind of horsepower to take advantage of the gears. I wonder what other mods the 335i had. I would like to see what kinda race it would have been from 0 mph.
