@tomeelizer not really. i wouldn't use the 70-300mm VR for low light situation. you need to boost the ISO over 800 or more to get good photos, but even at high ISO your camera might not be able to produce such good photos on high ISO setting. I know that my second camera the Nikon D80, anything above ISO800 the quality starts to go down south.
So my opinion, i would use the 70-300mm VR fun photos but not for magazine commercial usage.
@tomeelizer I dont have the 55-200vr lens. but im assuming the 55-200 is a tad quicker to focus, due to the fact 70-300 has a longer travel. but correct me if im wrong on this.
the 70-200mm is set at 200m mill there...doesn't that make the af slower?

how about 70-300VR vs 55-200VR? do you have comparison speed side by side?
