you ever get a job? not trying to put salt on the wound. just it would let me know what to expect after graduation or during the process of graduating
Congrats on graduating Anthony! You worked hard. Good Luck on finding a job out there its hard. Hope you find one. Your videos have been awesome and very helpful. Thank you for everything.
I havent heard about 32 months Anthony. Sitting around with Aaron, Dan and James I never heard anything of the sorts. Only that there is going to be a one class a month option which could in turn be 32 months long if you break it down... maybe.
@tree50maro Apprently they switch the online degree to 32 months for the people who start after January or something. A one class a month option would be nice...if you're working or something or just wanna take your time... I dunno. Anyway, awesome work landing a job man. You gotta let me know how it is at Tiburon.
Hey, I've seen a lot of your videos. I'm in the online game design program, and if all goes with my plan, I'll be moving to the campus for my masters in a couple of years after my bachelors. So, something that triggered my interest when I saw your final project posts is a recommendation. My question to you is what would you assets would you recommend for a person in my position, as an artist, that your game dev team did/didn't do that you liked/hoped for?
@TheSuperfrank88 I'm having trouble understanding what you're asking. The game design masters students didn't have much involvement in making the game, just scheduling and management. The game development students are the programmers and we were the artists.
@TheCreativeItch They were only involved in scheduling and management? Wow! So in a percentile who design's the final project game? 33% between the three groups, or 100% from the designers.
I recently downloaded all of the Autodesk software so I can become familiar with it, in case I needed to contribute. Also, I can code and I am currently expanding my languages so I can look at the programming and know what it says.Is this a good idea or waste of time for someone who is focusing on designing?
@TheSuperfrank88 The masters program isn't geared towards designing the game, it's more of the "business" end of the industry, so the title is a little misleading. 100% of the game is colab'ed between the game developers and artists. The masters students have no say, they just lead the way. It's always a good idea to expand your horizons, knowledge is power.
im doing the online classes, and from my experience so far, its exactly how it is if you were to do the on campus stuff in my opinion, only thing you dont do is make the game. I just finished up with 3DF. Moving into ethics and psychology jan. 4th. But good luck with the job search, look into some smaller studios as well. But good luck with the job search, just make sure your portfolio focuses on what your wanting to do at whatever studio you apply for.
@SgtCommandersons I can't answer for recording arts, but I believe what I've learned for game art will give me the opportunity to be employed. It's all about how much you put into it. As far as networking, I'm pretty good at networking on my own. The college has a career development department which help find you leads. They do what they can, but again, it's really up to you.
I didnt know you had a blog. I decided I wont follow through with game design but i'm still interested in knowing how the job field works. but you dont need to close this channel down, you can still leave the vdeos and the channel up, just make the newer channel for whatever new stuff.
I can't even begin with how many channels I have, mainly because i'm OCD with my username.
This is the only part of fullsail i'm worried about. Finding a job after school. All your videos really helped me with my decision to go to Fullsail. Like I said, i'm not worried about failing in class, i'm worried about finding a good job out of school. Best of luck to you and thank you very much for your hard work on posting your FullSail experience. It was extremely helpful!
@TestTubeBaby92 I'm pretty sure it's the part EVERYONE worries about, but I stay positive. It doesn't matter which college you go to, you'll be faced with it no matter where you go. I'm glad my videos have been helpful, and I wish you the best of luck moving forward.
@human151 Thanks man. I applied to Bioware. I believe they might be wrapping up a lot of the art portion of the game about now. I'm starting to see work from the game, and artists putting it on their websites etc., but that would be an amazing opportunity. lol

@artdeco101010 You'd learn half as much in double the time at a traditional school. If you're asking If I regret going? No, not one bit.
