actually the anime(2005)and manga(2003-4) is based of the novel 'The Kouga Ninja Scrolls' as is the movie shinobi(2005) but the anime/manga and movie were written by 2 different people hence the major differences in the characters, the characters in the movie were highly altered from the novel and the manga which was out before the movie

are you kidding - putting shadows fall's intro with this song was nothing short of genius, everytime i hear Downfall without this intro I feel like I've lost out on something. And the actual visuals in the intro helped to build up tension until the actual amv kicked in. SImply put this intro turned a great amv into an awesome one.

I have to disagree. If I hadnt already heard the song Dowm fall I would thought it was the intro song, which was terrible. It really wasn necessary and only prolongs my enjoyed of this awesome video. He could have done the opening credits during the video itself. It needed no intro.

Well maybe its because I heard this version before the original, but to me the soft and beautiful melody of the intro compliments the song downfall beautifully. Perhaps you prefer it because you heard the original version first, but to me this version beats the old version by a long shot
