Hey Lady , Every country should avoid china's Internal affairs. Do you not understand that Olympics shouldn't interfere with Politics?U said that Australia should mind China's Business. Duh
Two thumps up. Yes Olympics and Politics are two sides of the same coin.China will not be displaying torch all over the world if it is not politics, why bring to the top of the world Mount CHHOMOLANGMO. Now that people of all 3 provinces of Tibet protest for freedom, witnessed by world. China must stop saying protest was orchestrated by exile Tibetans. It is time for serious talk. If you opt for dialogue stop slandering HH The Dalai Lama, like civilized and responsible nation.
Sharing facts with people is knowledge. you are right, Why didnt Chinese didnt allowed Independent journalist to acess whats going in TIbet? HIDING TRUTH!!!!!!!
" I found the majority of Tibetans, deep down to be anxious and unhappy- especially because of lack of religious freedom. However, they unlikely to speak frankly to Chinese as they fear punishment. They cannot be honest with you. This is so obvious. "
god knows what the aboriginals think....im too scared to even think
Unlike the Aboriginal people in Australia, who've had 99.99999% of their culture destroyed, barely any full blood Aboriginal people left - Tibetans still have their culture and there are more Tibetans people then ever. Whose the human rights violator now??
I am an Australian who studied Chinese language and Chinese history at the Australian National University. I then spent 3.5 years in the north part of Yunnan (which is majority Tibetan ethnic group), and then a year working in Tibet. On the whole I found the majority of Tibetans, deep down to be anxious and unhappy- especially because of lack of religious freedom. However, they unlikely to speak frankly to Chinese as they fear punishment. They cannot be honest with you. This is so obvious.
After Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989, most overseas Chinese protested against China government. Most of them were Chinese students studying in overseas.
It proves that overseas Chinese are not brainwashed communist and they are smart enough to make a right judgement.
But this time, most overseas Chinese support China governemtn.
So, overseas Chinese just suddenly turn to be brainwashed communists again?
Well, I would suggest Australian try to obtain information from some sources other than media or ``Free Tibet".
Many great Aussie people have been working in Tibet for years to help Tibet people. For example, Professor Cres Eastman, from Sydney University, has visited rural Tibet many times during the past two decades as world health organisation expert.
Why don't you contact these fellw Aussie to know more before you make a judgement?
Professor Cres Eastman is not likely to speak the whole truth however- if he speaks about cultural and religious problems in Tibet, it is really not likely that the Chinese Government will allow him to just wander back in. I have seen it happen to many people. Thats what happens when your government tries to control everything. People have to become silent. But Silence DOES NOT MEAN CONSENT.
YOUR SPEECH AND YOUR RIGHT OF THE DEMOCRACY WILL SAVE LOTS OF PEOPLE'S LIVE..this is fact..thank you for supporting the fact...and i am specially moved by saying this is a free country and have the both opposition party have the same right to protest..
Shut up^^
