David Gates came to Avondale College NSW Australia, second semester 2008. The message he preached, which was on his life story and his walk and faith in God reduced me to tears. At the time i was so inspired to do mission work and just try and trust God the way david does. However the devil planted seeds of doubt and with my own self ability doubting God (not proud of that) I became complacent and decide that i had to bulid my self up in faith in God before I could trust him to help me.
But this is not true as I am now finding out, God is with you no matter what. Through God all things can be done, no matter how small or how big. You just have to realise that God loves you, and if someone loves you they will not let you down. So if you know that God loves you, then you know already that he is going to help you in succed in anything you do that glorifies him i beg you not to be like me and doubt, but to reach the full potentail that God has for you for he loves you that much.
This touches my heart so much! With tears in my eyes, I pray for the strength, wisdom, and love to have quality of faith that God can use me somehow. I am a shallow person who loves God, but I let fear overwhelm me. Please pray for me. Thank you and God bless.
@AdventistMe No, this is not strong faith, this is called frivolity. I am amazed how easily people can be fooled with this type of preaching which is lacking any solid Biblical foundation. If my memory is correct, Jesus was teaching completely different monetary policy. See Luke 14:28-30. This "preacher" is boasting about making financial contracts without money on bank account and suggests we should follow his example. Thank you very much!
