Loved this figure as a child, I thought it looked exactly like Michael Keaton!

Well, as live action goes - Michael Keaton is the closest to be the true Bruce Wayne/Batman. However, you should not let yourself be blinded by saying "the best Bruce Wayne there will ever be" - you never know what happens in the future. You should try to be openminded about it, my friend. And I'm saying this as a fan of Michael Keaton.

i had this figure as a kid as well.....now that I'm grown, what was I THINKING!?? lol.....no but seriously, this figure was horrible....5 points of articulation?!?!?...u couldnt even make him do the signature poses smh lol....and I though I was alone on this one cuz most of my friends think Christian Bale is the best Batman when I say Michael Keaton is the best....anyone got any idea when a fully posable Keaton Batman will be released?

I played with this figure forever. It was awesome. Like a few others have said, I didn't like the batarang in the glove. I had the Penguin figure as well, it was alright even though it was a repaint of a previous Penguin they had released years ago.

@zombieboy5218 i dont know how everyone is getting the idea that i dont like this figure. i did mention once or twice that it was early kenner and that most early kenner ffigures wernt all spectacular. but hey, it was early 90's. I use to have this figure when it first came out. Its just been soo long sice i've seen it and i soo badly want a michael keaton batman figure, and it just doesnt cut it for me. so thats all i was getting at. I did and still do appreciate it though.

@EbayFigureReviews777 the only thing i didnt like about the figure was that the batarang was stuck in his hand and you cant take it out.i will admit that there was alot of bullshit that kenner released like all the different kinds of batman that were just silly.but they are the ones that had the super powers line which to this day is still one of my favorite toy lines.i'm actually trying to re-build my super powers collection.

There are a lot of flaws for this figure but it's still pretty cool back then. Bruce Wayne head sculpt that is recognizable as Michael Keaton. And the costume in black and not any other color.

I agree, Michael Keaton IS Batman. We had that same toy as a kid, but most of the batman suit things are lost but the actual Bruce Wayne part is still around and in fairly good shape all things considered.

I had this figure when I was 3 or 4. Unfortunately, between my own play and my baby sister, the paint on Bruce's chest was scratched away, and I lost or broke all the attached pieces. Still got a lot of playtime for years afterward with that Bruce, though.

Michael Keaton really was the BEST Batman hands down, It's a shame he never continued as the character but the original 1989 Batman movie will always be my favorite, I grew up with it, and was a big part of my childhood. Every time I watch it, it gets better and better, but I can't say that with Batman Returns, wasn't as good nor as memorable as both Keaton's and Nicholson's performance in 1989. Simply awesome, regardless of it's popularity and criticism.

Don't loose hope my friend. 2009 was a great year of companies releasing great classic stuff like Mattels Ghostbusters, 25th anniversary Turtles,Neca Terminator 2 figures.Movie Maniacs Robocop even a Back to the Future delorian came out. and of course the several HW batmobiles. and I imagine if they keep bringing out batmobiles of the 1989 movie, it's only a matter of time before someone tries to do some figures. I had this same figure when I was a kid. I have no idea what happened to it. When I was younger this was definitely my favorite Batman figure out of my entire collection. As a kid, I thought it was pretty neat to remove his costume, although I do remember it was quite difficult to play with this figure because the gloves or boot covers would slide off easily and the belt that would hold the body armor wouldn't snap together right.

Personally I don't think this figure was bad at all for it's time, period. Comparing anything from the present to the past is like casting Keaton now rather Bale and expecting him to keep up with his age.

Around this time, other toy companies wer starting to include knee and/or elbow articulation (toybiz and dc) kenner,mattel,playmates wer a little behind articulation wise. and I still belive keaton could be Batman and keep up. (he would just need alot of stunt doubles) lol. I have alot of respect for Keaton. I just watched "Multiplicity" for like the 5th time. and in that movie he has to play 4 people "himself" he is just SUCH a great actor, and i would LOVE to get his autograph somehow/someday.

I still have essentially the same figure, but it's from the 1990 "The Dark Knight Collection" line. This appears to be an identical reissue for the "Batman Returns" movie.

It may look a little goofy to 21st Century adult eyes, but I still think he's cool. It remains one of my all-time favorite action figures.

As for the Keaton/Bale, Burton/Nolan arguments, I like both about equally, though I slightly prefer Keaton's Bruce Wayne/Batman.

I agree Michael Keaton was the best batman voice from the whole series of movies and had one of the most awesome darker costumes. I was not too affond of Keaton when he acted like bruce wayne. I rather have Christian Bale do the acting for Bruce Wayne and Michael Keaton should do the acting for  Batman. ^_^

The only reason I can see why people would say bale is a better bruce wayne instead of micheal keaton is because Bale had alot more screen time as wayne. a very good majority of batman begins, you see him as a bruce wayne, where as keaton had more time as batman and less as wayne. Im sure if Keaton had done batman begins (as a younger keaton of course) I think people would think differently of keaton as wayne. I still like keaton best as wayne and batman though.
