  • Crappy and annoying quality

  • 240p we meet again

  • How refreshing to see them not having to write each move down. I hope this non- writing format reaches the long game tournaments one day.

  • @TEDOVSKY Why? If they had enough time they would write their moves down. But it wastes too much of their time in a blitz game.

  • The cameras have to leave after 5 minutes.

  • Is it possible to have even less resolution?

  • @JeremyNashith, that must be the day after we killed ourselves for letting the lingvistics control what language to use. There is no reasonable argument for more than one language in the world. English is the obviously choice. Language got no value by itself. The only reasonable meaning of language is to get understood. You're doing very well over there, when not wasting time learning more than one language.

  • @Vocalallusive I will rue the day when the whole world speaks English as terribly as you do! At least learn your own language properly before having the gall to criticize others for wasting their time becoming proficient in understanding and communicating with other cultures!!

  • @JeremyNasmith, are you compleining about language despite the fact you perfectly understand what was intended to be communicated, stupid? I guess you're too stupid to walk around the most obvious traps made for you.

  • @Vocalallusive you have to be retarded..

  • Anand is the best with black!!

  • so... Polgar is only the GM girl in the scene..???

  • How can these people be so quiet, if I was in a spot where they cannot here me I would wisper to a friend what I think may be a good line for them to play. Then again I may have to get up after half of the game is done.

  • its hilarious how anand begins his sentence : "Well i mean i saw b4"

  • chess players have to be able to block out all camera distractions and focus, which Anand and Carlsen do very well at! Great Match!

  • its not really our fault english is really the dominate language here.. where is you go to europe speaking 2-3 languages is actually rather common becuase of how close you neighbors really are.

  • how the hell are you suppose to concentrate with flashes coming from all angles

  • who won the match carlsen or anand lolz

  • queen's indian

  • why did Carlsen pause for so long on move 4? Why not just play g3 or Nc3?

  • you actually think he just calculate one step ahead?

  • @richter75

all opening theory is very well established and memorized, in the Queen's Indian for move 4, g3 and Nf3 are generally considered the two options for White.

  • @richter75 Capablanca once said: "I only think one move ahead... But it's always the right move"

  • looks like a horrific environment to play chess.

  • 6:05 unfooooooooooooortunate move

  • Cool. I want to be like them when I grow up.

  • God, how distracting with all of those cameras.

  • Well,Morozevich doesn't speak English that well....

Anyway,...Anand seemed the most comfortable player fromm all and the best.

  • @kerver73 yea he does better than kramnick

  • 4 grandmasters, all different countries, different ages, and they all speak excellent English!! Over here in North America we should hang our heads in shame that the vast majority of us speak no other language EXCEPT English!!

  • you're kinda learning some Spanish I think

  • You're missing the fact that in other countries it's required to learn English because the whole world speaks it. In the US we have need to learn other languages because we're surrounded by people that speak English. There's no necessity. If the world spoke anything other than English we'd be a bilingual country.

  • You're right that there's no necessity to speak other languages in most of North America. I'm from Canada, a bilingual country (English/French) but even I can't fluently speak French. But that's absolutely no excuse! Globally, there are way more non-English speakers than English speakers, especially first-languages. The difference is most people in Europe speak more than just their first language because they have better schooling in languages. And these GMs showed that in these interviews

  • @vmfedor I am afraid it will be necessary soon: Spanish is becoming prevalent. I hear it in South Texas about as much as English.

  • @JeremyNasmith People of world-leading nations don't have to learn languages of the "little" countries. (At least not for now!)

  • @TexasRobert good reason to justify the fact that you are incapable to understand what's beyond the border of your "big" country!

  • @valentin79ro I am quite capable of understanding what is beyond the borders of my country. You, however, seem less capable of writing witty insults in the world's most common second language. Good luck with your language studies! (I think you are trying to master too many languages at once though.)

  • @TexasRobert Well,at least I'm trying! Maybe my english is not perfect, but it;s pretty good! You,however, remain the same arrogant fine american fellow who will never be able to speak a foreign language! It would probably cause you brain damage just learning! Good luck being arrogant,it's the best you have!

  • @valentin79ro I suppose what I wrote earlier was pretty arrogant. I do think it's better for everyone to speak a common language, however. We've mostly had this luxury in the U.S. for a long time, but that may be changing. I don't think this is good, since it divides people when they cannot communicate with each other. That's why immigrants to this country should be encouraged to learn English before they become citizens. By the way, you expressed yourself more clearly in your last comment.

  • @TexasRobert When a group of americans came visiting my city,I asked them, among other things, why don't they speak other languages! The answer was: "They don't teach us!". From this point of view,I understand! It's not your fault! My idea was to learn it for your own knowledge,it's wonderfull to be able to communicate with people from other countries!

  • @JeremyNasmith We speak many other languages!

  • @JeremyNasmith as the joke stands, someone who can speak 3 languages is trilingual, 2 languages is bilingual and one language is american!

  • Anand won the tournament (and first game against Carlsen)

  • who won?
