@breezyb1992 That's because the Batman roller coaster was highly elevated and had a special corrosion-resistant support structure. The entire park was flooded in 4ft-7ft of fresh/salt water for over a month. Sitting that long a salt water mixture definitely corroded the metal of the rides.

You video is the reason I got the iPhone 8mm app and started shooting abandoned locations with it. :) It gives off such a cool effect when you just want to point-and-shoot don't want to use anything high-tech.

I'm sad to say this, but this is BS what Six Flags did. Six Flags over Atlanta Goergia got flooded & they fixed that park up in a week. And all the rides were fine. So, them saying the rides here are gone is a bunch of lies. They just didn't want to fix the park back up, This place was apparently not making any money. If Atlanta Georgia's Six Flags can still work being flooded so can this 1! They proved it when they yanked only the Batman ride & sent it to Six Flags Fiesta in Texas. So stupid!

I live very close to the old Six Flags New Orleans and have been dying to go look through the park! Is it dangerous and can you get caught for trespassing easily? I find this old abandoned park and others very interesting!

@emalix11 We actually just filmed it on an IPHONE using the 8mm app. We edited it in imovie but did not add any additional effects. Since it was our first video that we have ever edited, we just wanted to keep it simple. :))

@evilcaddy79 @flurbexx We are actually not taggers. There were some high schoolers in there tagging and we filmed them and talked to them for a while. The park is completely abandoned and unsalvageable, with no plans for re opening. I see no problem with graffiti artists using all that empty space as a canvas rather than just letting it fall apart.

@Shisno315 We went twice and had absolutely no problems. There were not any neighborhoods around that I could see though where you could park. We just parked at the service entrance and went on in. There were also some other kids there who parked next to us as well and had no problems. Of course that could change but when we went, it was fine. Good luck, be safe and have fun!
