Agreed. Allah is the arabic word for God. Proof? Arabic speaking christians say Allah not God and the arabic bible says Allah not God. So when you speak about Allah know you speak about God. Muslims perfer to use the arabic term (to maintain purity in addressing him) because the word God has been tainted. God refers to a masculine while goddess refers to a feminine. You make the letter G small like so "g" and the word becomes god (inferior diety). I hope that clarifies things :)

Christians in Lebanon, Syria, Jerusalem and other parts of the middle east called God "Allah" as a general term and Yahweh and Jesus for specific terms. Christians know who their God is, that's why they call Him with a name while Muslims don't and call their God in a general term and that is Allah... and now they want to own it for themselves. This is not a religious problem, it is politic. The government keep stirring up racial tension to gain support from dumb Malays, they even threathened other non-muslim to give up their right to the Malay, or else they will start riot if we resist like Indonesian riot in 1997. Allah in the bible refers to God.. and Tuhan refer as Lord.. when we say Tuhan Yesus it means Lord Jesus Christ....when we said Lord God..... you don't expect to repeat it twice.. Tuhan,Tuhan...

I am a Chinese free-thinker. The word was used in Indonesian Bible in 1968 only. Now the Malaysia Catholic weekly magazine wants to use the word in West Malysia for their own gains, which is very very wrong. Please check the meaning of the word in your children school dictionary, if they have. Has the Pope ever use the word...........
