  • Sounds native american.. #hint

  • @SIROFNOBLERECORDS you think natives are lost tribe of israel?

  • @zionbound1 I think there are more real Hebrews on this planet than you would believe. SO, are they a possible tribe? No more than the Incas, or Aztecs etc. Eskimos ETC. ET CETERA. There's much evidence. Chk Glen Becks report on the Hebrew found in AMERICA (and it's the ten commandments). Or the recent reading of the SHEMA by natives of Papua New Guinea. We are truly spread across the world. And completely lost. But this is a temporary problem, 2much info is available.:-)

  • May I also add, that a little research into all religions (and a understanding of the Name of "God" and what it really means, even what the word name means) will reveal the congruence of most religions and all faiths being rooted in the one most high. Including some previously misunderstood Polytheistic religions. It's all about "SELF" and "GOD" and the relationship between. So Know ThySelf like the Bible says, or the Yogi's do, or the martial Artists do (from India originally),etc.

  • @SIROFNOBLERECORDS I agree. I will add some info later. Im sure you know about the puerto ricans, I wouldnt say all faiths but many. Especially hinduism. Brahman=abraham. Much love

  • @LolaLaDiva1 What about Puerto Ricans? Are you talking about how many Puerto Ricans are of Jewish and Arab Moorish descent and dont know it because the catholic Church erased their heritage?!How most of them were crypto-Jews/and muslims?Today the D.N.A shows and proves that a large segment of Puerto Ricans are Sefardic Jewish heritage.

  • @zionbound1 not exactly. Abraham was actually Av rameh meaning ''chief archer'' ancient totemic character of the Hebrews. Avromeh due to metathesis got reshaped into Avraham.

  • i like when he says

I also like psalm 50 sung in Arabic by Majida el Roumi. The psalms are really beautiful in whatever language they're translated to.

    Hallelu-YAH!

  • Great! Toda!

  • omed can you please if you dont mind videos for the yemenite hebrew dialogues with english translations >> we will be thankful to you

  • @mjsm111 What Yemenite Hebrew dialogues are you talking about?

  • @omedyashar any dialogues if you have !!

  • I LOVE JEWS I HATE ISRAEL TOO

  • Thank you for preserving this recording. It means a lot for me and for klal yisroel that such knowledge should not be lost in this generation.

  • I LOVE JEWS I HATE ISRAEL

  • @MAROCIN13 You cannot love jews and yet hate Israel. They are one and the same. God isn't going to return to New York City or Hong Kong, He's going to return to Jerusalem...in Israel.

  • ونعم بيهووود اليمن حنا نحب اليهود ونكرة الصهاينه اليهود شعب الله المختار تحياتي لك يالي نزلت المقطع هذا تراث يمني اصيل ..... طه اليمن

  • Disputing gives us something to do. But never goes any where. The promised land who owns it? The Jews? The Christians? The Muslims? The land? Crucifixed for our sins? After all the argument then where is all this going? Tell me where?? I am just wondering even after all this disputes no one is going anywhere even!! I have only this to say: Your religion is yours Mine is mine. You go your way and i go mine. God guides whom and forgives as He pleases. why dispute. Just be at peace....

  • Great work,Omed.... I am studying Judaism. Illyasine:

btw: Allah is NOT the Arabic for "G-d".It is the Arabic for the Babylonian moon g_d.There are article online by several well informed, former Muslims about that.

I have just learned about the Teimani Jews,so I'm really checking this out.

  • Yes more Tehillim in this accent would be wonderful. Thanks!

  • I like your videos even though you talk poorly about anyone who follows Y'shua Mashiyach.

  • @paulgem123

    follow god, not idols.

  • You speak as one who's thoughts are limited to Rabbinical Judaism. Just like a Christian cannot reason outside of what they have been taught you practice the same thing. Think for yourself, don't judge by what you know about Y'shua from Christianity...Please.

  • The Yemenites are close in pronounciation to Arabic. Is that correct?

  • [2:40] O Children of Israel, remember My favor, which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill your part of the covenant, that I fulfill My part of the covenant, and reverence Me.

[2:41] You shall believe in what I have revealed herein, confirming what you have; do not be the first to reject it. Do not trade away My revelations for a cheap price, and observe Me.

[2:42] Do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor shall you conceal the truth, knowingly.

  • that was God "YHWH" talking to you in the Quran!

These praises are the same we say...if only you believe in the prophet!

  • @ILYASSINE He does not believe in Y'shua which pointed back to Torah why would he believe in Mohammad?

  • We, humans, should believe in ALL THE PROPHETS OF GOD : Abraham, Ismaël, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Salomon, Zacharie, Jesus, and Mohammad; peace be upon them. For our God and yours is The Same; There is no divinity besides Him, and He is the All-mighty, the All-hearing.

  • @ILYASSINE

    islamic bs.

if u really believe in jewish torah why dont u get the hell out of jewish land? even koran admits allah gave it to jews!

  • @SHMAGEGIE But yet they hate the Jews, when the Quran says it is ok to be their friends, then contradicts itself by saying to kill them, and they follow a pedophile prophet Mohammed, then claim that Allah sent Torah Bible and Quran but that the Torah and Bible are corrupt! Funny how Islam works

  • @Apocalips320 The problem is not in religion. The problem is not out there , the problem is in here. It is humans.

  • @Apocalips320 your speach is refers to aknowledge person

If we were hate jews why dont we go now and harrass them in yemen??

and prophet mohamad (PBUH) was the seal of prophets and he told up that torah is corrupted

can you tel me how can jacob or ptophet ysrael overcome the GOD himself ??

    is this logical ??

  • @mjsm111 You are funny

  • @Apocalips320 hahahahaha >>

    you are right !!

I am sooooooo funny and benighted

BUT your torah is soooo wise and logic

I ask God to easify your way to the truth >> AAAAmeeen

  • @mjsm111 I am not Jewish, dont assume things, that makes you look unintelligent. Also, 'easify' is not a word.

  • @SHMAGEGIE @SHMAGEGIE I don't beleive in the jewish torah you have now between your hands, but I believe firmely in the torah revealed to Moses (peace be upon him) ... halas the original text has been modified by your elder scholars.

  • @SHMAGEGIE

It's true that Allah once gave the earth to children of Israel, but since they disbelieved in His apostles : Jesus, and above all Mohammad (peace and blessing upon them), so then you, jews, have lost the right to be in the holyland; because the holyland belongs to the true BELIEVERS (those who believe in God and ALL HIS PROPHETS), who actually are the Muslims :)

  • Shalom, we definitely NOT worship and follow the same God. Islam teaches that Yeshua (Jesus) didn't die on the cross for our sins. Islam teaches also that Yeshua is not the Son of God, because Allah cannot have a son because it would be blashemy. But the Bible teaches that Yeshua DID die on the cross for our sins and rose up from the on the 3rd day. Moreover, the Bible teaches that Yeshua IS the Son of God and Israelites (descenants of Isaac) are the one and only chosen peole of God.

  • @peteliuz79

2:40. O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me.

    41. And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone.

    42. And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is).

  • @peteliuz79

18:1. Praise be to Allah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:

    2. (He hath made it) Straight (and Clear) in order that He ...,

    3. ...

    4. Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "(Allah) hath begotten a son":

    5. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!

  • hey! can anyone send me a fonetic or how to read transcription of 1 to 5 verse in Hebrew? I will be very pleased if i could sing it...

  • there's tons of great information about how to read hebrew online, and mechon dash mamre d-ot o-rg has the entire tanakh in hebrew with all of the vowels. It shouldn't take tooo long to learn to read hebrew, it's understanding it that takes time.

  • תעצורו הזה קומדיה ותחזורו במונותאיזם הטהור ! אתם מאנשים ידעו מי הוא המאת כגבר יודע את בנו....

  • As opposed to the quran which says to fight all no muslims and calls jews pigs.

Muslims say Islam is a religion of peace.... and if a 'kafir' wants to convert to islam he is welcomed with opened arms... but if a muslims wants to become a jew or a christian? he gets killed.

  • so, explain how the only rabbi to politicize a religious reason for anti-muslim sentiment (Rav Kahane, z"l) is a persona non-grata in Israel ... whereas virtually each and every imam and mullah in the land preaches overt anti-Jewish rhetoric on a daily basis and especially on friday?

you must be delusional if you believe the nonsense re: the "800 women and children" ...not a single legitimate international organization would ever back up those numbers.

    don't believe hamas propaganda.

  • this is sooooo beautiful...

  • Hey Yosef,

I have a question. Which pronunciation is considered more authentic to original Biblical Hebrew, Iraqi or Temani?

  • BOTH are far better than standard Ashkenazi, standard 'Sefardi,' or standard 'Israeli' Hebrew.

The popular Yemenite pronuncation of today is the San'ani pronuncation... which pronounces the gimal (with dagesh) as a jimal... and qof as a gof.

I would say that the Hebrew pronuncation of the rural Yemenite Jews is the most authentic... This type distinguishes all the letters like other Yemenites, but pronounce gimal (with dagesh) and qof the same as Iraqi Jews. Yemenites vowels are more precise.

  • Thanks for posting things like this omed, as always! Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that it is only the Ashuri Yehudim who pronounce gimel and qoph correctly. In all other cases, Temani is the one that has deviated the least from correct pronunciation.

  • Even among Teimonim, it was only the Jewish community around Yemen's capital (Sana'a) who pronounced gimal as jimal and qoph as goph. Most Jews in Yemen lived in more rural areas and pronounced these two letters the same as Iraqi Jews.

HOWEVER, pronunciation aside, most of the renown Yemenite rabbis lived in / around Sana'a, the capital. Upon arriving to Israel, they were the leaders of Yemenite Jewry, and thus their pronunciation began to be adopted among those who came from rural areas.

  • @omedyashar

My father in-law ztl was from the village of Yarim, Yemen & he told me that the Sana'ani Jews were more careful in their pronunciation. Since they represented the Jewish community in the capital they had to be the best. That does NOT mean that the jimmel/guf pronunciation is correct. R. Sa'adiya Gaon said that Hebrew has all of the same letters as Arabic, EXCEPT for jimmel & guf. MOST Yemenite regions have these Sana'ni jimmel/guf, except for Shar'abi & 'Aden.

  • @raanan111 do you have any recordings of the Shar-abi & 'Aden dialects? I would love to hear an entire recording of the tanakh and/or chanting of it & targum as well!

  • @omedyashar

Yemenite Jews also do not have a segol vowel because in the Tiberias writing it does not EXIST, but is instead a PATACH. I think that segol was a Babylonian "invention." Yemenite Jews also have trop that have not only general regional variations, but even FAMILY variations.

  • @omedyashar

I agree that Yemenite is more accurate than Babylonian because Yemenites have qometz, Babylonians lost it, but otherwise (besides segol) they WERE the same as Shar'abi.

  • Yeah... I guess the standard Jewish way of reading Torah is far behind the standard Christian knowledge of Hebrew grammer. That's why I eventually became Jewish due to the many startling realizations I had from the text of the Torah (independent from 'Jewish culture') upon applying the knowledge of Hebrew I gained as a Christian.

  • Clearly whne the word yod heh vav heh occurs 6828 times in the tanakh and you twist the tongue and read a completely different and literarily unrelated word on this point the Chrisitian honest and grammatical and literal is in every way regarding truth superior to pretending the book says something it doe not say. You are not supposed to take away from the torah but you have taken a way the great treasure of the name Yahuah! This I will not do!! Amen! You went from light to partial light!

  • This is great - yes, moviemaker is limited, but you've used it to it's best advantage - this looks and sounds great.

It's a great work to bring the voice of your Rebbe to the world like this. I love hearing this Yemini pronounciation, too.

    More! More! More!

    Yesshar Koach!

  • Do Yemenite Hebrew pronounce these letters differently :

    ב

    ו

    ח

  • vav = waw

Chet = Hhet (a "voiceless pharyngeal fricative" - look up on Wikipedia)

Vet = Bhet... a sound distinct from Bet. Most Yemenites today have lost the distinction of this sound, because it sounds so similar to Vet. This is called a "voiced bilabial fricative" - WIKI it :p

  • Does that mean "F" would be a "voiceless bilabial fricative?", and therefore not involve the teeth as well? (Ph!)

  • yes, according to most Hebrew linguists and according to my limited knowledge of how older yemenites pronounce.

  • @omedyashar The debate is still not clear on weather the Vav was V or W, you saying otherwise is not right!

  • or, possibly, it might mean that the older temani gentleman who is reciting this chapter of tehillim might need better dental care ;)

  • ... just watched this again.

seriously -- a very big thank you for posting this; i enjoy this very much.

  • very good.

i currently know the ashkenaz and sephardice tamim for the torah i was woundering i your couls get the yeminite tamim for the torah up on youtube. please and thank you

  • I don't know if I'll be given permission to post to YouTube, but I know there is a website that has such information... though in Hebrew. I'll try to find it for you... and I'll try to remember to ask for permission to post it to YouTube.

  • Where did you get these recordings? Do you have the whole Tanakh in Temani pronunciation?

  • I work for the son of the mori (yemenite 'rabbi') who you hear reading, Mori Salaam Kohen.

He asked that I make videos such as these. This is my first such video. It's difficult to make a nice video using only Windows Movie Maker.

I'm not certain whether they have the entire Tanakh... however I know that a substantial portion exists. I'm currently working with the son of Mori Salaam Kohen to finish editing the Hhumash. We're currently on Wa-yiqra (Leviticus). Includes Targum and Tafsir.

  • If you are in Wayiqra you've already done the 10 Commandments. Could you put that clip up please?

  • I'll ask for permission, bali neder.

  • Yea definately do more videos such as this.

  • but thanks, it was interesting, though not what i suspected.

  • I mainly posted this to help people who are trying to learn Hebrew and Jewish prayer.

It's also nice for anyone who wants to hear Psalms recited in the original language.

  • sounds like a native indian rain dance song being song by an old native indian medicain man.

  • lol. I recall having the same impression from certain Yemenite JEWISH melodies, the first time I heard them. Every now and then I still get that feeling. I promise you, there are other psalms / songs when the Yemenite melody sounds even more 'native american' than this, hehe.

  • I have heard that there is legend of B'nei Yisrael during the reign of Shlomo haMelekh, who sailed to Eress Tarshish (now called Amriqa), and eventually settled here. If it is actual history, perhaps they had influence on the inhabitants. Mori Mikhael believes Tarshish has always been a melting pot from wayfarers around the world throughout history long before Edom arrived.

  • Very beautiful recitation.
