You both need to really work on the balls of your feet...it will make your taps sound so much clearer. I realise you have a terrible floor to work with and i credit both of your efforts with such a poor floor but there are a lot of dropped heels here. Your heels should only touch the floor when a step requires it to (eg a dig, pick up etc) Great energy and i can tell that you both love to dance. Keep practicing as there is loads of potential here :)

all i can say is that they need to work on their upper bodies more and as tinytapper64 said get your feet work down a little better and dont cheat the steps/turn out your feet to much when u dont have to.

you need to be sharper with your feet, and it looks awkward at times because you need to turn out your feet. The girl looks like she is doing a lot of cheating with her feet work, the boy is ok but just keep practicing

I'm Sheldon from the video. This dance was done for an audition for a variety show in Minneapolis. The show was a fundraiser for a man with cancer. The stage had a rubber cover on it so we had to dance on the concrete floor in the front of the stage for the audition. Anna is my dance partner (not my sister). I'm 16 now and take lessons from Barbara Lee in Annandale, Minnesota.

Damn awesome. At fourteen I wasn't even at half this skill level.

I gave it up a while ago, but the only pointers I'd hand out is crisp up the arms and legs a bit. Obviously you want your legs to be loose and relaxed, but try not to make them look like you're slinging them around so much as moving them.

Absolutely NOT a knock on your performance at all, just something I noticed. If I slid the taps on tomorrow I probably couldn't perform nearly as well as you. :)

Ok first of all, the dance in general was good the sound of tap dance were there, you were having fun, but I feel that you weren't completely there. And eum... I really don't know what was up in the upper body but that was horrible...the arms weren't strong, they were all over the place and you weren't working like a team. I liked the tap dance only not your performance... With time you will get enough experience to work it out...good job though...

hey this is sheldon carlsted the boy from the video, i like all of the support that most of you guys are giving me lol. i am 16 now and i did that show as a cancer benifit and the reason that we were dancing in front of the stage was because of this weird material on the stage made for ballet dancers. also it was about seven or eight in the morning, on a saturday lol. we've ended up competing in the minnesota state fair about five times or more i've lost count lol.

hey, peeps lay off! for the amount of space they have, that horrid floor, and th fact they are only young really shows their capabilities, both with their tap skill and their ability to adapt to their environment, something very important for any performer be able to do. obviously they will have rehearsed the routine in a bigger space. i say well done to them.

I'm very proud of them and glad they where in my show which raised $2700 for a close friend who was fighting cancer.

I was the show producer and these kids where great. They didn't complain that they had to dance on the cement floor. They didn't complain that the area they had to dance in was limited. The music was hard to hear and they danced their hearts out. Plus they had the guts to audition! You don't have to be perfect to be entertaining. They did a great job at the show too and acted like pros the whole way!!
