too much applause, too much control. when bob hope came to my city in the 70s, the audience was hugely disappointed by the way the organizers instructed them when to laugh, when to applaud, etc. I'm glad things have changed.

@scarypowers No, they just dated each other and are now very close friends. Jim was invited by Lucille to do her show when they met at a party. Lucille was very impressed by him. They spent alot of time together. She would have him over to watch movies with her in her screening room at her house, and she would go to Jim's and they remained very close friends until the day she died. Jim has done many tribute shows with Lucy Arnaz Luckinbill in Jamestown New York for her Parents.
