What I understand is that darkness has an fascination, also to me, but what I dont understand is : if you believe Satan exists, you also believe in this "Hell forever"-stuff, and I dont understand what is so cool to be in hell forever ?

bands do not adore satan for himself, but they like his way of thing, even de norvegian black metal bands who burned churches dont beleive in god and satan, they only use the imagery for their music and they anti-religious purpose, real satanism has nothing to do with satan, it is a philosophy, a way of live, to live free and every day as if it was your last

Jasinna, all I know is, Satanic, is not the same as Satanist. The first, are people who actually believe in Satan, maybe, those people, are those you describe (I just find them very silly!). Regarding satanists, they don't believe in him as something real, but an allegory for all the forgotten ones, the "cursed" ones. I dont find this vid it scary, actually, I find it sort of funny and comforting! It's a way of laughing at death, decadence, illness, loneliness, and all injustices of this life.

A bit extreme, but yes I do: Romantic, not as in the "Romeo and Juliet" way. But in a XIXth century sense of the word... again, none of this is REAL, this is, music, poetry, images, this is the freedom of art. You take it or you leave it, but nothing here should be taken literally, as you do in other areas, like law or science... It's just expression. You have all the right not to like it, but to think there's a real evil intention, no no no. as I mentioned, satanic is not satanist.

I liked that sound beginnig at 7:25 and ending at 7:30. It is as though the demon has caught its prey and gobbled it up. This is followed by the sound of carrion birds. I also ejoyed the transformation of Diamanda's voice starting at 1:50. This is inspirational music for me.

You obviously don't know much music since this came out in 82 right around the time Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost and Bathory were all starting. As far as the 2nd wave of BM (probably what you were refering to), started in Norway in the late 80's w/ Mayhem (of which the dead guitarist Euronymous was a huge Diamanda Galas fan).
