  • I replaced both side mirrors. Lots of satisfaction doing this myself. Took me a bit longer than the average person-- it's difficult to know just how much strength to use. These instructions with video are great. Thanks for posting the video!

  • Thanks so much for posting! Just replaced my side mirror like a pro. Greatly appreciated!

  • Thanks for this. This video saved me a ton of time and money. I got the part from you guys (1AAuto.com) on the cheap and did the install in about 15-20 minutes. Local parts store wanted $150+ for the mirror. There's no telling what a dealer would have charged, nevermind the labor.

    Thanks again!

  • @matsully Thank you for checking us out. Have a great day!

  • This video probably saved me $100, thanks a bunch.

  • @MrFragalax You're welcome. Thanks for checking us out. We carry some great repair parts on 1aauto.com for your Toyota Corolla.

  • A putty knife is good to begin opening the panel, but I eventually had to use a flat head screw driver to dis-engage the plastic clasps that keep the panel attached to the frame of the door.

  • I fixed my mirror as explained in video. It was an awesome video and saved me lot of money. The problem i faced r was that when i try to lock the doors using power lock, they wouldn't lock when the key fob is insterted. without keyfob they were working propoerly. whenever u unplug the power lock you need to rest it. lock all doors. turn ignition on. manually unlock either driver or passenger door from inside. now use your power lock to unlock all doors. boom back to normal

  • Thanks 1AAuto ! My wife and I went to a New Year's Eve party to come out and find our Side view Mirror on the Driver's destroyed. We just had it replaced not to long ago. Thanks to you we will not have to pay another $ 400.00 ! You guys are great !

  • Great video! can you make one for the 09 and up models or just let me know if it is basically the same concept? Thank you for this!!!!

  • @murderotica24 Thank you for checking out our Toyota Corolla side view mirror replacement video on YouTube. We currently do not have a repair video for your 2009 Toyota Corolla, but the basics should be very similar. Hope this helps.

  • The video was great 57yr old female and was able to do it entirely on my own! The putty knife worked great on panel was little afraid I was going to snap off some of the clasps didn't damage one. The only part that I had a little difficulty with was putting back the panel took a few times to get it right but all in all probably took me about 1 hour I even had to take off my crank handle and used a dishcloth from another video and that popped off it moments. Bought mirror on amazon for $35

  • @lovetotinker08 Thank you for checking out our Toyota Corolla side view mirror replacement video. We sell these mirrors on our website 1aauto.com with free shipping.

  • perfect video for what I need to do! big thanks!!

  • is it pretty much the same concept with 2009-2011 models?

  • I just saved 77 bucks and a visit to mechanic on labor and ended up paying merely 32 bucks for the mirror purchased from ebay online. In nutshell i spent 32 bucks and 30 minutes against 200 bucks being estimated by the mechanic and a visit to workshop... A load of thanks for this wonderful video.....

  • @56blingboy Thank you for checking out our video. Visit our main website 1aauto.com for all of your repair needs.

  • Is there a way to use the original housing for the broken mirror (to avoid repainting)?

  • @TheGrollu We only sell the entire assembly not just the glass piece.

  • @1aauto If I buy the entire piece is there a way to disassemble it so i can still use my original housing? I know u can do this on a Honda...dunno for Toyota.

  • @blackghost7 The mirror piece may be slightly different inside of the than the OE one on the truck. This mirror assembly should look just like the original piece. There may be a difference it the way the actual mirror piece mounts to the housing though.

  • @blackghost7 I used my old assemble cus it was red, the replacement motor monts weren't the same so i have to cut the originals motor off the basepart that screws to the car and glue a support onto the now one. so yes you can but you have to get imaginative if it's not an actual toyota replacement part

  • Does it work for 2009 Corolla LE also? Need to replace driver side rear view mirror.

  • @srikrishnagamini this procedure is correct for the 03-08. Your model year may be a similar process, but might not be exact.

  • Thanks my friend. This video is very helpful.

  • @compuman7879 you're welcome.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! Just saved me a trip to the mechanic and tons of money.

  • Hi there, my side view mirror has a little crack on the black area but the blue area only has scratch. Can I still use the same mirror? I tried to push the mirror back in but it is still hanging out loose. Do I need to replace the mirror?

  • @magatron008 Just so you know you are asking a person who sells parts if you need to replace the mirror so of course I will say YES! :) Buy a pair while you are at it ! :) In all seriousness I can't really tell from your description whether or not you need to replace the entire assembly. If you decide you do need to replace it visit 1A Auto dot com...Thanks!!

  • thanks...now i don't have 2 bug my brother-in-law(he's a mechanic)

  • Thank you, you saved my family about $150. Your video was clear, even to someone who hasn't turned a wrench in 20 years. My only regret is that I didn't order the replacement part from you. Next time, I'll check for a repair video first, then order parts. The parts aren't worth much if I don't know how to install them.

  • Thank you very much, it was very helpful for me. I liked quality of the videos.

  • Hey, You did a great video---I'll look at 1Aauto for some of my parts. Thanks

  • Thanks very much. Your video saved me a lot of time (and potential damage) from experimenting my way through the job. Toyota wanted $250 (in Canada) for this mirror for parts only! I was able to buy a mirror for $60 shipped to my door, used this video to install, and it's a job well done! Thanks a million!

  • Thanks Guys!.

  • Hi there, do I need to take off the negative from my battery?

  • @bprizze You don't have to but it is never a bad idea.
