I recently picked up the rarest VHS copy you can find, probably

my favorite tape I own.

Cannot say I was a big fan of the remake. Romero's focused more on the military takeover, this one was more character (citizen based). However thats what makes movies great, different perspectives.

There is no dvd release for A Serbian Film. It isn't being released to dvd until next year, right now it is being shown around at different film festivals and I believe many screeners have been leaked to drum up more hype not that this film needs it. This has to be one of the most hyped up films Ive ever heard of, but it lives up to the hype.

Jeff Lieberman is such an amazing director..even for that movie Satan's Little Helper, which wasn't that great. But Squirm was awesome.

Just Before Dawn comes highly recommended by many. From memory, Jarashut is a big fan of the film. Unfortunately, we don't have a release over here, so I'll be importing the DVD.

A good re-make? Who would've thought? haha

I liked both of those. Love the score from just before dawn. back in the mid 80s I had the opportunity to go to this drive in horror marathon and one of the films was just before dawn, its really scary watching it from a car at a drive in

Wow, that's really awesome! I wish there were more drive in theaters.

It seems like movies are going quicker and quicker to dvd and aren't staying long in the theaters these days, I think in 15 years or so that regular theaters are going to become like drive in theaters and instead of people going out to view the movies they will just get it right on their tv like pay per view.

@Absolutsublime1 I just found it pointless screenplay was horrible imo...it was too clear on what was going to happen especially the scene were the sheriff and deputy obtain the firearms...sheriff claiming he will save his wife...the next scene being in the quarantine area with the rake crazy and his wife and the annoying other girl...I felt like saying could you make it anymore obvious what will happen? Very disappointed indeed and very angry...Eisner will never make a good film...

Saw just before dawn yesterday on megavideo. Damn good! I like how they get warned twice and still go. I also like how the second guy thought it was demons and stuff yet the rest of the movie wasn't religious at all just 2 murderous twins.

I have both of those dvds and enjoyed both films. The Crazies remake was mostly filmed here in Georgia about 45 minutes from my town.

I thought The Crazies was surprisingly good. I walked into it expecting it to be just another modern zombie gore fest with no real story, but I was so wrong! I'd give it an 8/10 cause I'm not a huge fan of Timothy Olyphant but it was all round very good, I thought it had great tension levels. Also did you know George A. Romero produced the new one? Anyway nice update man, keep up the good work!

Loving the intro music man. it fits your style well. I'm a big nerd for facts about movies through commentary as well. The Shining two disc version has the most informative, yet creepy commentary for a movie. Great reviews man.

If you like old school slashers then you should like Just Before Dawn, not much gore and a low budget but a true classic in my opinion.

Hey Bryan, thanks for asking. My weekend was enjoyable, thursday I went to a grand re-opening of a bar , friday went out for a friend's birthday, then saturday and sunday I hung out with a friend from high school who lives in NY so she came down to visit, we watched x-files, twilight zone episodes, went out to dinner, breakfast, played pool, basketball, walked around the city, just caught up with each other. It was a really enjoyable weekend.
