When I was young and visited my grandmother in Tioga,La. used to hear their radio program. You are right things are changing and not for the better. Love this REAL music and worship.
I have been so blessed by finding this site. Oh, how wonderful this has been. My Momma was so much like Sis. Mangun! How blessed we are to have had this heritage!! What I want to know is where is your church? And is the church still the same? If the Lord is still there I'd be tempted to come there on vacation!!!
I am so moved to see these Saints helping deliver the message of Our Savior's love for his people. They don't have to do this but they move through the Holy Spirit to sing and share God's love.. This is so wonderful to see
Thanks for posting this great song. I used to be a song leader in a Pentecostal Church for 5 years. The church did a great job on it. Thanks to orytina for having it n his channel. That is where I found it. I really enjoyed this.
This is great old Pentecost Music and as a young person I say the new music is worldly and people gyrate there hips and call it gospel. I love the Old way! Churches should seek the old path!
Beautiful! I'm 53 years old & I can testify that the Holy Ghost is the same but the church is certainly different. Unfortunately, many of the younger generation do not even know the standard hymns of Pentecost. My heart aches for the old songs!
@chloedanim My church isn't different. The Spirit is still alive and well. And I know God is about to do more than we've ever seen in these endtimes. Let us expect it. He has spoken it to His people.
I am sure the early Christians must have sung and worshiped like this. Dear Lord grant that the whole Church wakes up and worships our Lord with the same excitement as these Christians.
My daughter and her family attend PoA and my now 6 year old granddaughter loves when Pastor's Mom gets the accordion out and sings. On this night, 2 years ago, it was just before she turned 4 and she thought she was in heaven! My daughter was signing for the deaf ministry when something caught the corner of her eye and the baby was in the aisle doing eggrolls. Her mom got her and sat her down, keeping an eye on her. She got out in the aisle about to take off again. Our little holy roller!
I truly enjoy this song. I am Southern Baptist and a pentecostal and I truly love to hear the old songs again. If you are asking how can I be a southern baptist and a pentecostal at the same? I am a spirit filled baptist. However, My mission is not to argue church doctrine, but go out and reach the lost for Our Lord before His Great return.
Loved this video! It's awesome to see "seniors" really enjoying the worship. But I don't think it says anything about the "new style" of worship. The seniors enjoy this bcs (as many posted) it's what they grew up with, meaning, it's what was "new" back then! Our young people today are truly blessed by the new style of worship. As with any style of worship- it's up to us as individuals to "enter in." BTW- I'm nearly 50 years old, so this isn't exactly coming from a "youngster."
I am Assembly of God, and I am Pantecostal through and through, I love this Music. the new stuff is nice for worship, But I really like the way the Holy Ghost moves when we sing this good old Gospel music.
I don't attend this church and I don't know much about them...if you search them on here you'll find out they have a wonderful choir and worship leaders....this must've been a special night singing old time songs...I still love it though...
i been there many many times.. i was just commenting too comments... some was hating on new age music and some old music... thats why i said you must have a balance... i love it.. at my church the 1st sunday of the month is when the senor choir sings and alll older songs... and youth take the 4th sunday of the month its when the youth choir sings and youth lead worship and then the other sundays is just a little of everything... all about balance...
I totaly agree! I'm 29 and it seems the more I mature the more I see how more poweful the old fashion way was. God never changes but we do. More miracles back in the days too.
When this old generation of Pentecost is in the ground the church will NEVER be the same!! I grew up in the UPCI from the age of 11 and now nearly 60 and so I know what I am testafying about here: It just ain't like it used to be folks!! Oh yes, the Holy Ghost is the same, but the worship has strangely changed. Anyone over 50 will agree with me and the youth will say that I'm crazy....
I'm 33 years old, and I totally agree. It doesn't feel or sound the same in the modern UPC services as it did when I was a child. When they got rid of the hymn books and put up the big screens, it changed forever.
@zestymike48 What an insightful comment! One reason it ain't like it used to be is that in the name of being nice, tolerant and all that, we have allowed our Pentecostal music to be hijacked by people immersed in worldly pop culture. Whoever says different is a liar. There- I said it ! And before I take it back, I'll add more to it. The new style of music that today's churches have embraced makes me want to puke! The adults need to take back over the music!
@zestymike48 We'll just have to get real full of the Holy Ghost and stay there in the Spirit. I'm working on it. I know we can stay filled in the endtimes. We're going to need it too. Let us get on the band wagon!
@zestymike48 Yep, I can testify to that truth! Now they use a lot of smoke and mirrors (strobe lights) and its as though they have created a worldly concert atmosphere. Its almost as though the world is sneaking through the very fabric of the Church, it seems as though the music has become rock and roll like, or bambastic screaming called worship.
Glory, glory, glory to the Name above all Names: Jesus!! I keep playing this over, and over and over because it so lifts me up in my spirit. These songs may be about someday in heaven, but I am being lifted up into the heavenly places NOW just listening to this anointed music!! All glory to Jesus!
I love the old songs of my childhood. You never see anyone playing the accordian anymore. This reminds me of my Mom who passed away in 1999. She would sing and play the piano and accordian with all she had in the churches my Dad pastored. I miss those times.
I saw this service right before the IL. District Conquerers Camp, I was so inspired by this the whole week of camp there were about 5 of us who were singing all of these songs. Long story short they asked us to sing at the late night service haha great times
the church dont get into praising the lord like this anymore. Thats my type of praising.
