  • This beats rap crap , hip hop crap , pop music crap , rock music ,and death metal .

  • by the grace of GOD

  • this movie's opening is one of the best opening....

  • 1 of the best intro to a movie...........

  • Excellent choice for the film. Certainly one of the best soundtracks of the decade

  • before i ever ran a casino or got blown up, ace rothstein was a hell of handicapper

  • As usual, no credit or respect is given to the actual song and composer. I hate my generation.

  • @buddhasknowbest

You couldn't be more right. It's an abomination that tributes like this are used for debating and making comments that have nothing to do with the actual song and all it's related to

  • @DieGoldelse I agree. I read the comments expecting to find some intelligent opinion on the beautiful music and is all spam, squabbles and the rest.

Why can´t people just give their opinion on the clip and NOTHING ELSE??

  • @belledejour72

That will remain a mistery forever. I don't know what goes through the heads of these people, but it's certainly nothing worth knowing anyway.

  • @buddhasknowbest

Everyone knows it's Bach. It's in the tags.

  • What?? Not a word about the music??

This clip is about the soundtrack, not the film.

I think it deserves some comments too, it´s one of the most beautiful pieces of music I´ve ever heard.

  • IU always imagine myself dying by car bomb and this song playing in the backround as my body fly in the air

  • did saw Scorsese in Cannes week ago..it was nothing like it,dream come true for the moment..as for the movies today of other new directors hmm it's sad man and the actors it's sad man...there's no more passion for movies this day's hope it's gona change in the future!!all the best and enjoy beautiful film and music.

  • isnt this by E.S. Posthmua.....i cant spell the name damm it

  • Absolutly my favourite quote

A lot of holes in the desert, and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all fuckin' night.

  • THANK YOU for this one! Great quality.

  • Great film. A masterpiece.

  • @neeze11 Contempt - Theme de Camille (Geroges Delerue)

  • You are correct, young one. I have been looking for this for a long time. Many thanks to you for posting it.

  • see that guy? FUCK HIM UP AND EVERYBODY AROUND HIM

  • Beautiful....it's fuckin' beautiful I tell yah'.

  • I liked the beginning of this film. The end was a little too crazy for me with the coked out wife situation.

  • i think you have to be italian to have this played at your funeral.

  • italians dont care what kind of music they die to. get real

  • @emkrisp11

so...who climbed up your ass and left a grenade? i was just making a comment that i felt was fitting, besides i AM italian so i get to say things like that, okay?

now go eat a canoli and shut your trap.

  • @goofygoat2009 HAHAHHA

  • plus this is a Bach composition. he clearly wasn't italian

  • The opening scene of Casino, with the lights and this music, was one of the most beautiful movie scenes ever.

  • the opening scene in the fall is pretty phenomenal as well check i tout.

  • @afvnut75 nice, I am going to have "The Murder of Don Fanucci" from Godfather II or "Marcia Religiosa" from Godfather III (same melody as the former)... can't say that I am looking forward to it... being my funeral and the fact that I won't be conscious or anything.

  • I HEARD THIS SONG BY FIRST IN A MEXICAN INDEPENDENT MOVIE FROM 1970 CALLED ""Ya Se Quién Eres''. IN FACT YOU CAN FIND THIS MOVIE HERE...LOVE IT!!!

  • I will be interested in seeing this film. but i tried searching youtube and couldn't find it; not even on your page! Can you hook me up with a link?? thanx :)

  • It's a pretty long movie for youtube.

  • unless you joined in 2006 otherwise there will be like 18 to 20 parts

  • Buy the dvd, it cost fucking 5 dollars.

  • I own it already actually, it's just that i'm too lazy to pop it in you see...

  • excuse me you can buy this movie for $2,50 moviemax.

  • @homesca Lol £3 at Tesco! Every little helps!

  • YES

  • But I think that's a different version than in the film (a new recordeding)

  • The mafia is not the same mafia from back in the days. The mafia of today is made up of all race cultures and many rackets that were not allowed in the past.

  • @tierren techniacally, the mafia is the mafia, italians, but yes, there are various organized crime syndicates today

  • @tierren I miss the good old Italian mafia, today, it's been taken over by street rat ghetto crack babies who want to try to be hard core by selling drugs at school, walking around with airsoft guns, and saying swear words to mommy and daddy. God, where did all the good Gangsters go?

  • @tierren-Bollox the Mafia is still whites only your talking shit could you honestly imagine a black guy being the leader of Italian Americans!

  • @Bacon4Rashers The Mafia of yesterday, what you see in the movies are over. No you will not see a African American or Hispanics as the head of a Italian Mafia Family but with the old guys dying & the new generation X taking over its not about old values anymore its about money. These new mafia bosses are going to Rap & Rock concerts & have many different Cultures in their crews. Truth be told the mafia cant survive in this high tech age of law enforcement !

  • @tierren Yes that's true...Using the name "Scarface" from the gangster movie starring Al Pacino, Pasquale Manfredi, 33, a boss of the the ferocious 'Ndrangheta mafia organization from the Calabria region in southern Italy, had logged on to his Facebook account so often that police were able to trace the signal from his Internet key and find his hideout.

  • @tierren yea values in the old days like murder?

    lmao at you bastards

  • @MrTheBeast I agree with you, the mafia were nothing more than organized street gangs that did nothing but murder & turn on each other due to greed & poor values

  • its one of the best movies ever made

thank you robert de niro and martin scorsese

  • exact

  • great version or wir setzen uns...

  • Thank you SO much for posting this. I have literally looking for this for over 10 yrs. My father told me it was most likely from Mozart's Requiem and I scoured it. I was unable to find it. Absolutely divine song. Well done! Cheers!

  • If you look closely, you can see them moving, they can really stay still for this video.

  • Goood joke :D

  • this is haunting but great

  • Nothing compares to Bachs divine and beautiful music. His Matthäus-Passion is no exception. Do yourself a favor: During the Easter, it should be possible to find a church/concert near you, where you can hear this masterpiece IRL.

    Greetings from Eddie, Zürich.

  • Bach is the greatest of all time.

  • Frank Lawrence "Lefty" Rosenthal (June 12, 1929 October 13, 2008)

    Resquiat In Pace

  • much appreciated! 5 stars

  • Is it at the end when he's saying that they fucked it all up, they'll never give anything that effing valuable again to 2 street guys like em?

  • Opening credits and the end as well. Although more powerful and dramatic in the opening scene....

  • Huh? why is this piece in the movie? what is the movie about?

  • one of the greatest gangster movies ever made. Definatly recommend you watch it

  • One of the best movies ever made. Human nature's realistic portrait

  • Careful, it's more like realistic portrait of Gangster nature. Normal people aren't like that. I agree though, great movie.

  • IMO the gangster nature its just the "enviroment", aside the killing, the spanking (and so on) , the character's (blistering performance) attitudes and feelings facing each other and facing life's imposed situations, seems so real.

  • thank you so much, i have been looking for this song for so long!

  • Vegas in the 70's was the best ,last time I was there was in 87 for a few days everyone tells me that I would freak out of all the changes. it was a classic place...

  • great song great movie.

  • is it the music in the beginning of the film?

  • It is.

  • and also during the part where they blow up all the casinos.

beautiful piece and a truly amazing movie.

  • Most historians agree on the fact that the era of baroque music ended the day Bach died. After listening to the opening of St-Matthew's Passion, one understands why.

  • Does anyone know which musicians are playing in this recording? It is an excelent version. I have known several recordings of this, but not all are good.

  • Chicago Symphony IIRC.

  • I agree, this is the best version I've heard. I think a lot has to do with this being at the optimum tempo, and the clarity is stunning.

  • I couldn't agree more. The CSO's is the finest version I've heard to date. Heavenly composition and flawless execution.

  • hey whts the cso i wnt to download this particular version thx

  • Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It's a tall order to find this. I looked EVERYWHERE, iTunes, Amazon, etc. And was unable to find this version of the song. I'm not sure if the CSO recorded this exclusively for the Casino Soundtrack, but that's the only way I've seen to acquire it, buy the casino soundtrack......

  • Yes, it's possible. a recording exclusively for the movie.

  • Spike Lee and Scorsce both have an amazing touch with movie music...

  • F-ing incredable movie and story. only a sound this powerful, is worthy of ever

    complimenting such a masterpiece.

or is it the other way around???

    THE BEST. JUST AMAZING.

  • Thanks! been looking alright :-)

  • great song. i had to look for it cause as soon as i listened to it from the poker commercial on TV, i recognized it from the casino "blow up" scene, and i immediately had to look for it. i love it.

  • Wonderful song, I love Bach.

  • awsome

  • Great movie. Great music.

  • Hey Anton,
