Ok settle everybody. There is no doubt that the figure 4 is a killer or a hold. But this one was executed very well. You get the fools who love to do this hold and cant seem to get enough enjoyment to hear their opponent screaming in pain and just wont let go. This guy just locked in the hold. Its then up to the opponent not to turn and twist

This guy is a goof. This is a real martial arts move that can break a person's leg with a little bit of pressure. He shouldn't be allowed to watch TV if he's going to imitate what he sees.

On a side note, she does look really good.

I'm in the military (if you didn't figure that out) and you can break their leg if you put enough pressure on it, but I know how much pressure that is. Plz don't cry in my comments.

Yes, I did see that uniform. Thank you for your service to the nation. I'm not being facetious when I say that either.

However, when it comes to that particular hold, it's very dangerous and the bones are at risk of fracture with very little pressure necessary. I do Submission Grappling and have trained in Brazil. A move like that is something you'd do if it's a life or death situation...not rolling on the living room carpet. It's much different than doing a Triangle or Guillotine choke.

Thanks :) but she was over exaggerating. I wouldn't put that much pressure on her, we basically just had the hold in. And enough pressure to know where the pain would be. Just like if you were training on someone. If she would have fought back I would have stopped to prevent her from hurting herself.

heel hooks/archilles i can apply, but if this is the Ric Flair fig 4, please tell me how you can apply that in a real combat situation. i love leg locks and use them more than arm bars. thanks for your service to the gd old US of A.

Thanks, and It's a Ric Flair figure 4 I don't really see myself doing a figure 4 in a life or death situation. We do learn a lot of hybrid martial arts that we use in Army-wide tournaments, where we don't kill people :)

Hey, Douche... Accidents happen. I never said that they guy would purposely attempt to injure her. However, with a move like that, the slightest twitch too far can snap the leg. Iif you ever trained in any kind of grappling style martial art, you'd know what I'm talking about.

I don't need to train in anything like that. I've locked people in that submission many, many times.They've never had lasting injury, and i've always been able to tell when to stop applying pressure. Yes, the slightest twitch can break her leg, but:

1. It didn't!

2. He obviously knows what to do

3. It's a girl! I doubt he even put half as much pressure on as he would with a guy. Don't forget, girls cry over anything! She didn't even cry.

Anyways, what's the purpose for him of doing a figure-four leg lock on her? She must've felt a slight amount of pressure because that guy really didn't got the hold in very tight.
