They're so incredible LIVE and this video is really fabulous, as well. I'm going to Denver to see them on NYE, 2011! Can't wait! And I just found out they're playing at the Main Street Arts Festival on April 21, 2012 in my hometown, Ft. Worth, TX. I've seen them in Telluride, CO at the Telluride Bluegrass Fest several times over the years, and once, I saw them in Dallas at The Granada Theater. Definitely one of my favorite bluegrass bands for many, many years!
These guys just played in my hometown...never heard of them until then. They blew me away. I am on board the train now...there is hope for music after all..it just hides
Mike Partridge!!! At exactly 0:35 and at 0:46 seconds into this video you can see pics of a long time friend and an incredibly skilled sound engineer....Mike Partridge. An awesome guy and I'm so glad he teamed up with this phenomenal band and found success. Partridge mixes great live shows as well as studio tracks. You can hear how great this band sounds as a credit to the musicians, and to Mike. Congrats Partridge!!!! Love this band and their pure sound.
A friend of mine played a few Railroad Earth songs for me a few months ago... I've been addicted ever since. Been Down This Road is a beautiful, inspiring, and unique song that should be celebrated on a much grander scale.
I just wanted all Railroad Earth fans to know that Railroad Earth will soon be visiting Long Island, on the waterfront at Shorefront Park in Patchogue.
They are performing July 16th 2011 along with over 35 other performers that weekend. There will be plenty of other rock, jam, folk, country, blues & “Americana” genres as well. It’s going to be the most affordable festival in the Northeast.
Definitely check it out, there’s more information on the Great South Bay Music Festival website!!!
@elmocoso no its great that more people dont know about them! personally, i find their shows to be the most fun cause the people there are all grass heads, not a bunch of wannabes
Sometimes I thnk it is better when these wonderful artists are not known as well to most people. We pay $20-25 every 6-12 months to see them, and the experience is astonishing, uplifting, and even spiritual. This group of musicians have made some of the finest recordings in history. The dysfunctional masses will never get it....and that is expected.
@kmckinn3 Ah yes, then the band loses it's indie, hipster attraction right? "Oh yeah, I listen to sweet band that you've never heard of before," probably something you say.
Yay! The'll be in Charlottesville, VA this weekend!
