He said he did not like the arrangement of the song. You are simply restating what Ryan said, which was clearly not Simon's point. Also for Jordin to say she never heard the song seems at odds with her original response when they announced the song she would sing. Then she clapped as if she were familiar with it, here she was just making an excuse.

Though I thought her performance was excellent, but I agree with Simon, I prefer the purer original version.
