Well done! I am trying to figure out which Wacom tablet to get, is this done using the Bamboo Pen and Touch - (if so, which model - Connect, Capture, Create or another)? Do you have the erase feature on your pen and do you find yourself utilizing it? Do you find the pen ergonomically comfortable? Thanks
@sheenaayad Hey I just read a few of the comments and saw you had already mentioned it was the second generation with no touch feature, sorry I hadn’t read that before I posted my last question. One more quick question though, perhaps you will know .. do you think the I would be able to use the tablet in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp? Also, how long did it take you to get acclimated to drawing without looking down at what you're doing?
I'm thinking about getting the tablet....So I was wondering..Can you use the normal drawing websites/software as you would usually use? I'm sorry to bother you, mate. Great drawing by the way!
Hey, how is the pressure sensitivity on the Bamboo tablets? I've been contemplating getting one, but I don't want to if they're not really meant for drawing. I've used Intuos tablets so there's a viable comparison.
@Iond000 This is the best comment I've read here. People just keep asking me about the tablet, as if it would make them draw better... If you can't draw well with a pencil, you won't draw better with a tablet! It doesn't matter if it's a Bamboo, Intuos, Cintiq or whatever... Thanks for watching!
Hey. I'm sorry to bother you with this, but do you use a smaller or a bigger Bamboo, and in the latter case, do you think you could work comfortable with a smaller one if you'd have to?
oh god i just got a wacom tablet and i can't do this wahhhh ;_; i know it will come to me in time but right now it's so frustrating! do you have any tips on getting used to drawing with a tablet?
@ch0ibaby It will come in time, just don't give up!. My advice is to stretch your arm/hands sometimes during your drawing sessions to avoid future problems.
Nice drawing i heard there was a new generation of the bamboo pen. And im thinking of buying one myself i just want to use it for hobby drawings do u know wich one should i buy and are there things i should know before buying one ?
@born2bsuperhero If it's just for hobby drawings I would suggest you buy one of the cheapest ones, they're still very good and you won't need the more advanced features the expensive ones have.
i will say, just for the sake of critique, the face is a little condensed. and her eyes are tilted a little oddly. but really i like the strokes you make and the shading you do on your tablet. I seem to hesitate on those steps sometimes. like, trying to get the shading and stuff down BEFORE i apply color. it makes determining shade and shadow with color a lot easier. Then again, I usually start a sketch with pencil, rather than tablet -__-. I guess i still need to get used to it.
Tell me please, have you used Intuos tablets before? Because I have Intuos3 A4 at home and this b*tch is too huge to drag around, so I was thinking about picking up something smaller - like M-sized Intuos4, but it is pretty expensive for me right now. So I wanted to know if Bamboo Pen has some downsides compared to Intuos... I know that it does not have an eraser, the hotkeys on face of the the tablet and (as I understand) lacks tilt sensitivity – it doesn't really matter.
@Myasorez Hi mate! Don't know if I can help you, but I used an old Intuos model some years ago. It was bigger than my Bamboo, and speaking about size, I really prefer the smaller tablets. I didn't see a real big difference on the pressure... Some people may say it's completely different, but the Bamboo works fine for me.
How long did it take you to get used to drawing with a tablet? I got to try one out and had a bit of trouble with it at first, but I think I can get used to it. Been looking at the Cintiq, but it's WAY too expensive for me at the moment.
this is my first time using a wacom, so it was a new experience to another way of drawing. I say the first time when i tried to draw was really hard to get use to, the waxom tablet itself is small and I had trouble with drawing my picture i have to tilt my hand most of the times. I cant draw normally like how i draw on a piece of paper, but i always want to draw graphic arts so bad. so how do you got so professionalize to this product I want to know because I don't want to give up on it !? :(
Does anyone know if you can buy the tablet pen's nibs(leads)? I know tablets come with extra nibs, but I lost them. The nib is really dull and it can scratch my tablet.
@b3nihim3 Nope. Just make sure whichever programs you use support tablets. Corel and GIMP as well as other Adobe products do, if this helps; other than that, you will have to check for yourself. It's a quality tablet for a great price!
I have a question; I was on the Wacom website, and as you'd know, there is a Wacom Bamboo Pen, and the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch. If you order the Wacom Bamboo Pen, is it just the pen or is it a tablet and pen where you can only use the pen and not use it as a mouse? I got a little confused, I want to know before I order!
@iolo26 1. You can change your settings, there are two buttons on the pen and you can set one of the buttons as LMB so that you have to press it to draw. You can also make it act naturally so when you press down, it draws with nothing with no buttons pressed.
2. Pressure sensitivity changes opacity and size. To activate this, there are two toggle buttons in Photoshop's Brush options bar that turn this on.
can you see the drawing on the drawing table when you draw? If not, how do you know where you should put your pen on the screen when you want to draw a specific part of the drawing
@drugdrunkker When you hover the pen close to the tablet your mouse moves about with it, so you know where the brush/cursor is before you apply pressure and start drawing:) Hope it helped!
I find it really difficault to use :-( i am so much better to draw with a pencil and a paper. I just got my Bamboo today, (you can see my video with the car) its my first try with the bamboo. I think its because there is no screen to view at, you have to look at the computer screen. You are really good.

I just bought this hoping it would just feel as easy as a normal pen, but its really hard drawing or just using it as a mouse, could you tell me whats wrong or if its meant to be like that? Thankyou!
@pgf95 not really, its a good size to use because it relative to the monitor work space in neat space on tablet, and you dont wanna be moving your hand all over the place if the tablet was bigger, this is perfectly compact size for my working space,
@StarryBadWolf Well, first you must install the drivers. It should be working then. If not, I recommend uninstall and get the latest driver at the wacom site. After installing you can set the sensitivity at the wacom bamboo properties.

foreverlovetied 8 months ago
@foreverlovetied The Pen model is different from the Pen and Touch models only in these following ways (perhaps other minor differences):
- no touch functionality, only pen (included w/)
- four customizable buttons on Pen and Touch model, not on Pen model
- 512 pressure levels on Pen model, 1024 on Pen and Touch
- built-in eraser at the end of Pen and Touch's stylus
Other than this, they work the same way. If you want any of the features I listed above, the Pen and Touch may be worth the extra.
iluvfuz 8 months ago
Two questions:
Do you have to be clicking when you touch the pen on the tablet like a touchscreen or can you move the cursor around the display without clicking?
And is the pressure sensitivity set up with the photoshop opacity or do you have to do that manualy?
Thanks
