  • Joe Goldmark always shows good taste, in choosing

covers for playing the steel. I could never realy reconcile my love for country with the 60's pop music, I grew up with. Listening to him makes it a lot easier.

  • nice, thank you!

  • lol this isn't a "Tremeloes" song fools...the Tremeloes ripped this song off of Cat Stevens...so this really is a cover of a cover.

  • It's rather amusing how people like immu2k1 are braging if with the knowledge on youtube, when they infact are totally wrong! The song was written by cat stevens (your right there) but for the tremeloes, and his recording is acctually a cover of the song he wrote, his was recorded after the tremeloes version! There you go, the whole story! They did not "rip it off" cat stevens!

Myself, I like the former Cat Stevens version the most!

  • Thank you for the explanation, I was wondering why there were two different versions of the same song made the same year (1967), maybe Mr.Stevens wanted to keep that third verse and The Tremeloes didn't.

Anyway, it is a great song, I agree with Luddekuddekudde, I also like more the Cat Stevens version, but The Tremeloes (and its cover by The Mavericks even more) version is very good for raising one's spirits up in a blue day...

Take care end enjoy the song

  • Good version of Tremeloes song
