Hmm, you tackle this stage differently than I do. I usually blitz the ghosts from halfway down the screen and scoop up their drops, then scoot up the left side at 1:00 to get the drops from the entire left half. Do graze points from a straight streaming outdo that?

Also, the free stuff at 3:40 is easy to clean up entirely -- stay in the upper left corner, juke the spread shots up there, swoop down for the bonuses, up to juke the next wave, repeat. Puts you at full power for the boss :)

Dunno if you heard me say it before, but I think this is Yuka, considering she turns into this ball-thingi twice during the stage 6 battle.

I can't begin to comprehend how you can play a game like this! Does it take a lot of practice or is it some sort of special ability to predict the future?

It's neither of the two. It may looks hard (and in case of this videos stage, is damn hard), but after you get a feeling for it, it's easy to get better and better.

it looks like its just tiny tiny movements and learning patterns of the beams or balls (heh balls) and learning to manouver them
