  • is the intro countable?

  • Nope. No count. Just natural groove.

  • hey,kirk...nice solo dude!! xD

  • Muito bom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lars really did a lot of coke durring the 80

  • Love that bass drum.

  • where i can find all the drum tracks ripped from Guitar Hero?

  • double bass mixed with toms and snare ftw!

  • du du du ka du

  • *in

  • Damn. Lars did double quite a bit back then, unlike the 90's.

  • one of my favorite drum tracks ever :)

  • he's just old and doesnt do coke anymore so his energy might not be what it used to buttt still badd ass either way

  • @purplewalnut89 they never did crack, they just drank alot

  • @warlord4811 Lars and Kirk were addicted to coke on the Justice tour and Kirk tried heroin once. Thank god he stopped!

  • @SweatyDinosaurMask thats fucking false man

  • @mankepierdasss Nah Kirk said so in an interview

  • @SweatyDinosaurMask True, during the late 80's/early 90's Lars was really into blow

  • Lars*

  • @graveviolator86 well, Lats and James are the only two original Metallica members still in the band, if you count their demo days.

  • This was Lars back then. Now, I don't really know what to think. He's still good. Otherwise he wouldn't still be in Metallica. But their music altogether needs to come back to the more Kill 'Em All to ...And Justice For All range of metal

  • @ArcKing01 man he's practically the owner of the band, so no one could kick him out

  • Triggers!

  • This is...was and is, some fucked out drummin´ Just listen to the pulse! its just awesome. And the shift.... aaaaahhh Mind blowing. .Lars! You are a badass drummer still (Just older), and I fuckin love ya!

  • This proves that lars does'nt suck

  • @eddietheguy12 Well, no one denies that Lars was sick back in the '80's. They just say he sucks now. (Which he doesn't.)

  • Lars is by no way a bad drummer altough he might be over improvising during some live preformances today. But then we must remember that when the first albums up to at least the black album was recorded, computers and digital recording didn't exist so he had to nail it in one take on analog equipment. He might not fit in any other band, but he's perfect for Metallica, and that makes him good.

  • Compare two drummers like music were a football game it´s very fucking stupid. Probably it´s possible in a Justin Biber head´s fan, but not in a sane human brain.

  • @CompoArmonicoEnFuga Man of course you can compare two drummers, because is not about musical tastes or styles, it's about skills, if a drummer can do more things than the other, then he's better.

  • BEHOLD LARS'S MIGHTY BASS DRUM!

  • me loves lars *-*

  • Lars isn't a bad drummer, he became one.

  • ...and justice for all except the bass guitar lol

  • lars, i would die without you.

  • Was anyone else hummin' the riff at 0:51? ^.^

  • @milchmann77 fuck yo i couldn't help it xD

  • @milchmann77 My brother did

  • ...And Justice For Lars...

  • 2:25 love that part

  • I love the double track on the ...and justice for all. it sounds so clear.

just awesone if the bass also was easy hear, too. it is almost muted on the ..and justice for all album! you call that 'fair justice'?!

  • @PhoenixFirebreath double track?? you mean double bass

  • The people that are talking shit about Lars..... go kill yourself, nobody would care.

  • I think Lars does what he does very well. But he'd be lost in a Megadeth, Overkill, or A7X song. He plays very well for a guy who, I don't believe, never had formal lessons or learned to play in a school band.

  • @hitman036 he said himself that he never had lessons, he just started metallica right when he moved to the states

  • @hitman036 i doubt lars(or atleast lars in his prime) would be lost.especially when u hear tracks like fight fire with fire, battery,& most of the songs on justice.everyone knows lars never had any formal drum lessons,he was a guy who made a band to jam with & developed his style along the way.the unique thing about his drumming was what he lacked in experience & lessons,he made up for in imagination, improvisation,& sheer attitude.

  • @MrSFblack You are absolutely right, and because that I give Lars so much credit! ^^

  • here he was on his best and while st anger he was on his best to

  • @PowerfulThomas actually, yes i do. met him several times and he is nice if you can do something for him. ive watched him pitch a fit like a child for a tech putting something in the wrong spot. now stop talking to me. your comments put yourself down and do nothing for information. we are not in a high school chat room so stop talking.

  • @PowerfulThomas And you know him? im just saying he is a dick. he does a good job with the music he writes for, but ego wise hes the worst in the metal industry. not saying dont like him, just saying what i know. stop acting like a 10 year old.

  • he is a good drummer. NOT a tallented one. he does his job well. although, he is the biggest egotistical ass in the metal business. period. dont let the smoke and mirrors for you folks. just sayin.

  • @DISARRAY3

He's not talented? I always thought anyone who can play an instrument well, and even make money while doing it, was talented. Some have more talent than others, yes, but I don't see how you think Lars is not talented. Unless you can play the drums much better, I wouldn't comment on his talent.

  • if anyone says lars is a terrible drummer, just listen to justice for all, if you dont understand, then you shouldnt be saying he is a bad drummer in the first place

  • plz check my video /watch?v=nkbxEtjXWp4 creeping death without drums

  • the two people that dislike this are getting hit on the balls with one of the double bass each!

  • buena bateria la cago

  • For me, one of the hardest song to play on every istrument

  • @martinstoianov91 actually very easy on guitar, but the solo is little trickyer ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Can you upload harvester of sorrow drum track?

  • Lars is a cheat and actually recorded the double bass sections seperately.

  • @Irfan87 shut the fuck up.

  • @jake33789

Ooooh, typical YouTube hostility, heres a tip bro, go look it up yourself and you'll see that its true. Another thing, Metallica HARDLY ever played this sing live simply because Lars could not replicate the speed or complexity. Heck, after awhile he just became lazy and even did simpler songs in a lacklustre or lazy way. Hes improved now, much better.

  • @Irfan87

Your other comment is true, but it's bullshit that he recorded it separately. Back then he had practiced a LOT, and it simply paid off. At least come with evidence.

Also, it's actually easier to play a full song in studio than live, because, you guessed it, there's not much room for error, and you have a whole setlist to play. So just because they didn't play it live much doesn't say anything.

    watch?v=AM-b-_fdvZc

So he surely must've been able to play it in '88 when he was in shape.

  • @OpethToolMetallica Also, they get multiple takes and no possible pressure from an audience.

  • @Headbanger270

True, and if you watched the footage I linked you can see he pretty much nailed it.

  • Dave Lombardo is an awesome drummer... but... like his band he is 1 dimensional and that gets old and boring real fast. The GREAT bands of all time mix shit up and change things from time to time. It's called creativity. Like really, the newest Slayer shit for example... sounds like every other fuckin slayer song i ever heard. I got bored of slayer pretty quick back in the day because of that. It's actually funny now.

  • @dethmag You couldn't have less idea what you're talking about. Get some Fantomas or one of Lombardo's various non-Slayer albums, and you'll see a drummer that's infinitely more versatile than an average metaller like Lars Ulrich.

  • @antonio610 wrong antonio.. go eat some more pizza pal

  • Ulrich`s best era, ruined by the simple ryhtms of the black album

  • Check our band on my channel!

  • Lars = Respected drummer/music composer, but a disrespected person cuz he's kinda a douche

  • no es el mejor, pero tien un estilo genial

  • Lars=GOD this song is so f-king hard to play just so random bass drums like all AJFA album that's why it is so EPIC

  • Let me clarify: He WAS good back then, but around the time that Bob Rock came into the picture, he started playing extremely simplified beats through the Load-Garage Inc. era, and avoided playing fast double bass, double time beats, and that sort of thing. Now that he's trying to get back into it with Death Magnetic, which I commend him for, he just hasn't practiced or been able to play that style after not playing it for more than 10 years.

  • @iceheadstudios

    Two words, Mexico DVD

  • @iceheadstudios in saying wat you just said i doubt he avoided playing them he just did what hes always done and that is play appropriately to the song

  • how could people still think lars is crap after listening to this?

  • @marshmallow117 Hello this was in 1988 not 2008 ;)

  • @marshmallow117 just let them be. haters piece of shit don't worth your time. of course with time, he's not considered the best ever, but he's still good and like iceheadstudios said, he didn't practice that kind for a really long time. but to say he suck and he's shit is just REALLY over exagerated and stupid to say.

  • who said too slow ?? if you want faster listen to dyers eve drum track you will be amazed

  • awesome !!!

  • i dont think he is the best but just shut the fuck up and listen this

  • has youtube changed its profile????

  • there is no denying he is an insane drum writer

  • How can you say that, he is one of the worlds most respected drummer !

    He rocks !!

  • Wtf? What do you think hes gonna get it on the first try? Hes an awesome drummer

  • @daimonxp EVERY DRUMMER HAVE TO TAKE A MILLION OF TAKES ASSHOLE!

  • And people say lars sucks...

  • How do you get these!! D:

  • lars at his finest

  • I love the Drums on Justice :D

  • woah thats the first time ive hear lars do something like that at 5:54

  • lars one of the most herdest song to play on drums!!!

  • LARS FOR EVEEEEEEEEEEER!!

  • LARS THE BEEEEEST!!!

  • dam i want this so i kan learn that song

  • too slow? if it was any faster the song would be fucked up.

  • @phantomlord4

    Lombardo sucks ass

  • @FadeToPuppets STFU FAGGOT. Wake up and get off Lars' dick. Lars is good, but Lombardo does not suck. He's miles ahead of Lars.

  • @MegadethFan95

lol Yup I sure am a faggot, but that is beside the point.

    Lars kicks Lombardo's ass anyday.

  • @FadeToPuppets wht? Type in "Slayer-War Ensemble Drum Track" and compare the double bass, the speed, and the accuracy to this. I mean Lars is good but he will never be in the same league as Lombardo.

  • @MegadethFan95

Yeah but compare War Ensemble to Dyers Eve.

Also just because Lombardo is fast, it doesnt make him good.

  • @FadeToPuppets Ok, Type in the drum track for Raining Blood. And Lars didn't even do the drums in Dyers Eve, well he did but he had to record the parts separately. Like he recorded all that double bass separately from the rest of the drums and cymbals. Why do you think hen they play it live he does none of the double bass. That,s the difference between the two. Lombardo can do everything he does in the studio live.

  • @MegadethFan95

No, Lars does do it live, it's just the recordings don't pick it up. Dave Assbardo can only hide behind his cymbals all the time. Plus Slayers singer sucks ass.

  • @FadeToPuppets no he doesn't, trust me ik. Type in "Dyers Eve drum cover 35 of 142" that's is how the song is supposed to played. You are just like most typical Tallica fans. You guys can never admit something that is true. I mean overall I would choose Metallica over Slayer. But it's a known fact Dave Lombardo is waayyyy better. I mean I play drums myself. You can clearly see Lombardo live so idk what you're talking about when you say "He hides behind cymblos." So you must be blind.

  • @MegadethFan95

I play drums too. Also that Metallicafan2910 sucks. Listen, I KNOW what I'm talking about.

  • @FadeToPuppets no you don't lmao. You are a retard lmao.

  • @MegadethFan95

Let's just end this shit right now.

  • @FadeToPuppets

Slayer is my all time fav abnd, but Metallica is in 3rd place and they were the ones who inroduced me to metal, and im sorry but you are making us Metallica fans look retarded by saying that, Dave Lombardo is ALOT better than Lars in every way, in fact hes better than most drummers that ever existed in my opinion

but uts still a fact that Dave is alot better, but that doesnt mean Lars is bad, i love Lars drumming in the 80s, after that he turned to just an ok drummer

  • @MetalHeadFilipeG96 Then how come Lombardo didn't nail Battery when he stood in for Lars? Most people on here that say Dave Lombardo is better then Lars are only hearing Lombardo playing his bread and butter, which is the high tempo slayer shit. Sure he rocks, we all know but I gotta tell ya being a fan of them both that Lars has put a shit load of kick ass beats together over the yrs. The same beats that gave metal a name, and he still does pushin 50! Death Magnetic, the rebirth..

  • @dethmag

i agree, Lars is a good drummer, but these days hes just ok cause he looks like he almost cant play some of their songs live, but he can play them, he just seems like hes struggling to play it, and also i think their albums from the 90s untill now have pretty simple drumming compared to their 80s stuff

Lars in the 80s was awesome, now hes ok, but Dave Lombardo can always play Slayers songs perfectly and hes fast, technical, precise and just overall amazing, thats my opinion

  • @dethmag That's because he barely had any time to learn Battery or those other Metallica songs. Give him some slack, dude, all he missed was a few crash cymbal ques, nothing else. His double bassing and timing was perfect, and even the band had trouble keeping up with him! Besides, Battery is Lars' song, not Dave's, so you can tell how many time Dave has played it and how much Lars has.

  • @Headbanger270 I don't think the band had any trouble keeping up with dave, they play battery faster than that performance sometimes.

  • @dethmag

    Thank you so much

  • @MetalHeadFilipeG96 exactly, thats why i'm saying. I LOVE Lars' drumming, but it's just a fact that Dave is a lot better. Especially on the Seasons album, you can hear what he can do.

  • @MegadethFan95 I'll take Lars' drumming on AJFA before anything Dave Lombardo.

  • @MegadethFan95 Your a idiot. Dave wouldn't be able to play shortest straw. Sorry Lars has way better groove and beat. Oh and don't forget the fact that he mixes up his performance every time he plays live. Dave doesn't.

  • @TrippyDrummer

thats not true, although Dave is my fav drummer what im saying is true, Dave Lombardo plays alot better than Lars in everything, if you want groove and beat just check out Daves solos here on youtube

and i think Dave can play almost all metallcias songs with ease, but still that doesnt mean Lars is bad, i love his drumming on AJFA and for Metallica there is not a better drummer than Lars, only he fits in Metallicas music

  • @TrippyDrummer Actually, Dave has more groove, more beat, more technicality, and more finesse, than Lars. Anything Lars can do, Dave can do, which is why they had Dave fill in for Lars on a few shows when he was sick. Dave wouldn't compromise the integrity of the song's drum structure, and would most likely play it as the original was, and it would actually be clean and not sloppy like Lars'. Lars changes things up because he either didn't like what he did in the studio or just improvises.

  • @Headbanger270 Well from what iv seen of Dave(which is a bit), the only thing hes good at is speed and timing. I have to disagree with groove thing i think Lars has alot more.

  • @TrippyDrummer Well, everyone has their own opinion.

  • @Headbanger270

he just improvises. like any other drummer these days. in fact the whole band improvises each song they play live. the only time i have seen performances close to the original was was back when they all had hair past there elbows. 80s or so.

  • @zeTamadrummaster - When you see a band live though it's not so bad. They HAVE been playing the same songs for about 30 years...besides... It shows good musicianship to change things up a little bit for the fans.I always bassists, excuse me, get the shortest straw anyway... nobody can hear them! Might aswell swap them for a fridge in the practice room.

  • @MegadethFan95 Im sorry not shortest straw i mean dyers eve

  • @TrippyDrummer lmao Dave can handle that double bass, just type in "Dave Lombardo insane double bass drum fill" and Lars changes his fills live because he improvises lmao.

  • @MegadethFan95 Look, Lombardo is faster and his double bass is insane I agree with that.

But what makes Lars an amazing drummer and not many people can get this, is that he plays with the heart, he plays just what he feels to play, call it "Improvises" if you want. is just the true, I'm not saying Lars is better than Dave.

Lars himself admited that Dave could beat him easily in a duel.

  • Damn i just love that double bass.

  • @AndyBloodtooth Double bass on Justice is the best of all 'Tallica albums in my opinion =D.

  • ¿How do you rip this from guitar hero???

  • how did u get this

  • Probably ripped from GH: Metallica

  • badass drums!
