  • I used to go to the Golden Nugget a lot in the 70's and 80's. I saw Carl Weathers and Bob Newhart and Wanda Sykes. Hank Azaria was there performing as "Moe" in the lounge many times. He did it for free. Everyone dressed as cowboys and played horseshoe across the street. Not everybody liked horseshoe but the chili was good and the gambling was regular at best. Great Video.

  • would have loved to seen vegas in the 60's i didnt get to see it until the 80's and its changed drastically so i am sure its way more drastic in your eyes.

  • I used to go to the Golden Nugget a lot in the early 1960s. I saw Carl Perkins and Bob Wills and Wanda Jackson and Hank Thompson there performing in the lounge many times. Free shows then. It was a very Western motif as was the Horseshoe across the street. The Horseshoe did not have entertainment, just poker and good chili and regular gambling and slots. Nice video.
