  • you can learn to play like this at secret guitar diagram.com

  • @secretguitardiagram No, you can't.

  • i think EJ wants to be a blues player.

  • Eric Johnson is a seriously good guitar player. Tip of the hat to you, good sir.

  • @kitthevideoman "seriously good"? more like one of the best guitarists of the last 20 years

  • @GrenadeCatcher In addition to being seriously good, I agree he IS one of the best guitarists of the last 20 years. I was just using understatement for laughs.. He has a DVD instructional video, I've checked it for free from the public library, I learned a lot from him. He knows music theory inside and out. He is not only a fantastic guitarist, but a great composer of tunes, he can do fantastic improvisation, and on top of that he is very likable and personable.

  • Does any one else think he kinda looks like Rory from doctor who?

  • simplemente bueno, gran estilo el de mi guitarrista favorito.

  • quien es el pendejo que grita ¬¬

  • he totally EJized this tune (& the 'blues' for that matter), but that is the only way it could come out, unbelievably great !!!

  • Ok, shoot me, but wait till I say what I gotta say.....Sorry E.J., but your leads soom way too tight.....not loose and soulful or bluesy at all. I luv me some E.J., but sorry man, stay with the Venus Isle sound....don't think you got the blues down. Now you can shoot me critic Nazis.

  • @tcbellwood Yeah, I gotta agree. He is WAY to on time here. He needs to be about 3/8 of a beat off time to be the blues. BB King, now THERE is a guy who knows how to be off time. And where are the faces? Vai doesn't play the blues but his faces are spot on (BB King is a master at this too obviously).

And the guitar is all wrong. The only red guitar worthy of the blues is a Gibson 335 and I know Eric has one.

Come on Eric, just play the song like everyone else does.

  • @GuillermoSmyser you started playing guitar after playing guitar hero? LOL gtfo stupid ass you have no room to talk about EJ or blues at all. Go back to video games clown.

  • @GrenadeCatcher Let the man speak. He's entitled to his opinion like the rest of us. Besides, you don't have to play the Blues to be a connoisseur of the Blues.

  • @GrenadeCatcher Yeah dude, my comment was was sarcastic too. You're not the only one who thinks EJ is great. I hate BB King and love EJ. My comment was a joke. Just lighten up. And yeah, I started on guitar hero cause my brother got it, but about the same time I started listening to music I actually liked ( i never listened to music other than background stuff). So I didn't "start" on guitar hero but it showed me a lot of music to start playing and showed me how guitar fit in a band set.

  • @GuillermoSmyser. whaaat? How can ANYone hate BB King?? You must be a real misanthrope to say that. Have a little respect, man!! SUREly you must realize, if you have done yer homework at all, that if it wasn't for guys like BB, Albert, Freddie K, etc,

that there might not BE any Eric Johnsons.

  • @tcbellwood You're right. He knows how to do it right but this is what he sounds like when he's trying too hard. Sounds like he did during the G3 jam sessions. When he is relaxed and himself he's great but if he ain't comfortable you can tell.

  • I do believe the late (and missed) Bill Maddox is doing the vocals! EJ knows where all the drummers who can sing are located in Austin! :)

  • lol, he's searching the pick of destiny

  • 1:33 Jack Black?

  • @VICJR98 LOL!!!!

  • Great Audio Quality!!!
