  • @Zombiepro2101 Wow seriously? Thats awesome!

  • Heard this song in "Million Dollar Quartet" Great show check it out!

  • im playing red dead redemption and im riding a horse thats full of flames straight out of ghostrider and im playing this song which makes it more badass LIKE A BOSS SON!!! XP

  • Actually, it was originally recorded by, believe it or not, by Burl Ives on February 17, 1949. Been listening to a bunch of versions; Ives, Robbins, Monroe . . . they're all really good. Glad to see/hear this song is still around and enjoyed.

  • @GryWlf4939 I thought gene autry recorded it for the 1949 movie?

  • can someone please explain them picture to me?

    please

  • @achilles212

The picure in this video? The Apocalpse! (final battle between good & evil)

This Johnny Cash video has a more traditional "cowboy" theme in the video (but lacks the lyrics on the screen)

    /watch?v=LKfG46h-Y5w

I have a playlist of this song on my channel "everybody" has sung the song from Gene Autry (the original) to the Grateful Dead and many traditional "Pop" singers.

    :))

  • @achilles212 The painting is of the Wild Hunt, one of Stan Jone's inspirations for this song. It's a European legend

  • @fubleduck thanks a lot =)

  • the best way to start an argument on the internet

    1.say something

  • i like this song remindes of dear friend of mine may he R.I.P.

  • Okay, here I thought that the version of Frankie Lain was the best... That was until I heard Johnny Cash.... I take it back... Johnny HAS the best voice for this song... He brings this extra sound to it, that I missed in the Frainkie version...

  • classic stroke of geniuse..

  • I got to meet Johnny Cash (Ringo) I know Rose and who knows Willie?

  • 45 days ago zero people got off on speed

  • johnny cash is awesome he makes this song way better than the originaland he makes it sound creepy

  • whats the painting?

  • @hobojordo The wild hunt: Åsgårdsreien (1872) by Peter Nicolai Arbo

Took me a while to actually find the title as I thought it'd be named something with Valkyries. :P

  • @FrisianDude thanks )) its pretty cool

  • @FrisianDude And one month later there's people claiming it's a representation of the apocalypse. Echhh.

  • Thank god. I'm tired of hearing people I've never heard of singing this.

  • fuck youtube and your cunt ads

  • @KrisKling damn lol, a bit harsh, but i do agree it needed to be said

  • I can play this full song on the acustic guitar its easy :)

    So proud of myself!

  • even chuck norris cries when he hears this one

  • @MARLEYFANcbr chuck norris does not cry

    stop spreading your poisanous lies!

  • @wertyda1 its true everyone knows that chuck norris cries like a baby when he listens johnny cash. Cash is just that bad ass

  • Actually, Burl Ives was the original recording artist of this song. Vaughn Monroe made a hit of it, but his was a cover version of Burl Ives version.

  • @hpd2786 Correct. Burl's original is now a video response. A much simpler version than any other I've ever heard. I like it a lot, no disrespect to anyone who has ever recorded it, especially to Mr. Johnny Cash.

  • this song was used in an episode of cow and chickin can anyone tell me what that episode was about cuz i cant remember:D

  • wonderful piece, great voice and sound!!!! awesome!!!

  • What I like - not only the Johnny Cash Version - one of my favorite versions - is the PICTURES - "justiicejayant" puts with it! A classic portrayal of Revelation 19:11-21.

Can't wait to RIDE BACK with Him about the time of 7th SEAL! Jude 1:14-15 w/Rev. 8...SEVEN TRUMPETS! YAH...ippy k-I - ALPHA and OMEGA!

  • i really love johnny cash but one thing i don't get, how can u dislike a legend?

  • IS THIS WERE WE ALL BE RIDING SOMEDAY???????????

  • I love the Cash, But the Outlaws done it better

  • @justdeepblue why would someone flag your comment? >.<

  • this song is fuckin badass

  • @skaterat1341990 badass is an understatement.......RIP great one!!!!

  • @skaterat1341990 that's an understatement!

  • absolutely wonderful.............I've loved this song since the first time I heard it: very good acoustic quality here...............it's often, "replay" it again and again, thanks for posting!

  • I love this song and love to cover it.

I attached a video response of my cover.

I can only hope I did Johnny justice.

  • @Intarsian very nicely done...........keep your aspirations and dreams alive

  • this song gives me the chills theres a message in this song its powerfull as fuck!

  • Heard 'em all. This arrangement and JC's voice imho make you feel the urgency of the message. Delivered with impact yet laid back a bit. B Crosby's version has that great full voice at each note but the arrangement is dated and his phasing is stuck in the 30's and 40's. Too bad.

  • @TVGUY333 Yippee yi OOOOHohOOH YIPPIE YI YA y Ya y Yaa. Thanks for the post.

  • 2:26 - 2:44 i know i know patience please ok:) it's just as hard for me believe me. i love ssshhhhhhhhhh youxoxo knowwwwwwwww=)

  • 'there brands were made of fire and their hooves were made of steeeel...their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feeeeeel..' sssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh=)

  • Great J.Cash!!!!!Bad ass cover!!!!

  • Badass lick after the first chorus

  • Thanks for posting this. Johnny Cash's cover is my fav but I liked Burl Ives and Jimmy Rodgers, too.

  • 11 people must have a horse's cock stuffed in their ear not to like this

  • This version is way better, Johnny can sing it

  • I like this version better than the "Outlaws" cover!!

  • This must play in my funeral.

  • It makes me feel like riding on hellish horse... Dressed like an old west dude...

    Man this song is awesome!

  • whoever the fuck dislikes this song needs to be flayed alive before being decapitated by a spoon

  • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • @luigi2277 that signs f!*$ing awesome haha

  • It has to do with Enoch 1:8. My own personal ancestor Jude the Brother of James (Jude 1:1) wrote this verse in JUDE 1:14 which also happens to be my birthday 1/14/63. More is in REVELATION 19. I will be going to Jerusalem myself pretty soon on the FINAL KNIGHT TEMPLAR CRUSADE...ordained by prophesy in Zechariah 4 and Revelation 11. GRACE BE TO THE CAPSTONE. AMEN.

There will be a short HALLOWEEN PARTY..the MARRIAGE SUPPER then GHOST RIDERS COME IN THE SKY...WE WILL BE BACK!

  • HUMAN BEINGS DO NOT WANT THEIR WOMEN? GREAT! IT IS A FREE FOR ALL! AND NOW THE HUMAN BEING WOMEN LOOK IN SHOCK AS ANGELS LUST FOR THEIR FEMININITY! AND THE ANGELS LUST FOR JUST ONE YES; SUDDENLY, WOMEN REALIZE THE POWER OF THEIR BEAUTY FROM GOD, BUT IT IS NOT FROM HUMAN BEINGS, NO! IT IS FROM ANGLES WITH HUNGER IN THEIR EYES. THESE ARE THE GHOST RIDERS OF THE SKY! 5

  • This song NEEDS to be a song thats played in a movie as the characters are driving through the desert in a comfortible with the roof down. Who else can see that?

  • burl ives before vaughn

  • Wouldn't it be cool if the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse rode to this at the end of days!

  • @edwardwhood They just might. Thrill the blessed & terrorize the damned.

  • The pic is The Four Horsemen of The Apacolypse, But ehh who cares I'm here for the song :)

  • @MarkChacon95 actually you are wrong. this painting is Åsgårdsreien located in Nasjonalgalleriet in Oslo.

    [edit] Licensing

  • this song and singer are just great ,love this version .love the video thank you for sharing.

  • @bila1542 The picture is Åsgårdsreien by Peter Nicolai Arbo

  • Johnny Cash was AWESOME !!!

  • Somebody Knows who is this picture from? I realy like so much

    Goes well with the song

  • Somebody Knows who is this picture from? I realy like so much

  • this is such a good song

  • I have an experience with this song. I am crying as i write this. My cousin's phone started playing this song constantly as he was at the hospital they day before he died. It was apparently a sign of him leaving. I got the news of him leaving a few hours ago. It makes me really sad that he is gone. And i have a relationship to this song. I will probably listen to this for a few weeks just because i miss him so much. I love you Danny.

  • This song makes me want to get on a motorcycle with my skull on fire.

  • was the marvel hero based on this song?

  • @ChazikProductions Nope. One of the biggest theories, everyone knows Johnny Cash was US Air Force. He got out of the Air Force when C-130's started rolling out the factories. They were not known as Hercules at the time. They were known as The Ghostriders. Google "C-130 Ghostriders". Johnny Cash sang this song on the 30th anniversary of the C-130's.

  • @TheStormchaser1 wow, awesome, thanks :D im guessing that the marvel hero is a coincidence or something then?

  • @ChazikProductions They "claim" Marvel's comic is based on the song. But, the Air Force patch has a flaming skull prior to the comic. I would not even associate the song to Marvel.

  • ONE M0:00RE TIME!!

  • I love this song its such a good song it's sooo western ;) hahaha :D

  • that is your opinon and you are intitled to it LOzzO [correction]

  • that is your opinon and you are intitled to it

  • moodahooohooodamooo

  • My favorite country artists - Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, both Hanks, Sr and Jr, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Bob Wills (he's still the king in Texas) and David Allen Coe. That's the real country and nothing's been made since they lit the stage that comes close.

  • @Johnhoulgate I agree with you John todays country can never compare with the real country singers.

  • @rebelcommander2000 We don't have "Country" music anymore. There is literally nothing country about any of it.

  • @L0zz0 sad but true

  • @buyfarmfresheggs yes, i'd like you to get on a motorcycle with your skull on fire too, tosser...

  • @MUCKLEWELLS reply to the wrong person possibly? I think you meant to reply to darthazmul, not to be a grammar nazi/troll or anything though

  • @MUCKLEWELLS wtf?

  • One of my favorite Johnny Cash songs. What I would give to have the great musician back on the Earth... R.I.P. my friend...

  • Now that's what i call real ghostrider........Let's Ride!!!!!

  • 10 people are afraid of ghosts.

  • @gilmoreguy

Or they listen to Bieber >.>

  • ten dislikes, thats bullshit !

  • R.I.P. Jhonny Cash, "The King of Country.

  • Johnny's version I know is a cover, but by far his voice makes it the best version...this is unreal it's so good...

  • @stuwrightfrom53 It just sounds so perfect with his voice

  • It's amazing how Johnny's music can appeal to everybody, rappers and metalheads alike. Simply amazing.

  • 10 are gays and unknow the music

  • I see that ten people would be better of never having been born at all. HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THIS?

  • If you look at so called artists nowadays, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Girls Aloud etc they are a flash in the pan. Their music is forgotten as soon as their next single hits the shelves. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Judy Garland, Patsy Cline etc their music has and forever will be remembered. I know willie aint dead but he is awesome.

  • @themaster8902 i agree the modern "music" sux. the classic stuff like this is the kind of stuff that will echo through your head in your dreams, where nothing but purity can seep in and shake the roots of your soul.

  • YIIIIIIIIIIIIHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • them riders dont look much like dead cowboys on horses with red eyes...more like angels riding out of heaven, still good song and rip to the man in black you was a good singer.

  • @VIKINGODIN its the wild hunt

  • i like this kinda music, u can hear the words beta. this modern day is shit, well sum are good

  • too bad we can't hear this kind of music nowadays. he was a really great artist and country music is probably the best american music genre EVER.

    R.I.P Johnny Cash:((

  • Still get a chill hearing Cash sing this song!! Ride on Johnny!

  • Steady Like a Train Sharp Like a Razor

  • Bellissima interpretazione....!!

  • Awesome song but with a picture inspired by Norse myth? Not sure about that even though I LOVE Norse mythology. Again, amazing song.

  • @Noremorse10 Actually, Wikipeia connects the song to a Norse myth so I think it works. I would also throw in Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol.

  • good song

  • i love this song no matter who sings it. this is one of the top renditions followed by vaughn monroe and gene autry marty robbins and johnny western. thanks for posting .where did u get the painting? it is lovely

  • Everytime I'm driving on the open plains after sunset and the sky is that brilliant orange I think of this song. Thanks for posting.

  • I bet the Devil's brand on his herd (Their brands were still on fire...) would be his number six hundred and sixty-six, represented by three fiery serpents.

  • YOUTUBE CONVERT THIS, PPL!

  • Yippi aye oh, Yippi aye eh. Holte Enders in the sky...

  • I think Johnny Cash and the Ramrods have th best versions. If you haven't heard the Ramrods version check it out

  • creepy old west feel

  • Awesome song. . .have loved it since I learned to play it as a very young musician. Wow. Perfect for Johnny's voice! ;p
