But I know Harvey (singer) was having issues with alcohol, which is kinda what Drugs is about. Harvey is doing work with The Streets. Not sure what the guitarist is doing but he's super-talented so I'm sure we'll see him soon.

Excellent song! I love it! Generally I love this band for kind of "underground" they are. It's sad but in many of countries the aren't known. Here, where I live, one of my friends know The Music, because I showed him "Strength In Numbers" album.. I wish I could see them live!

an excellent ENGLISH band . the music are only on to there third album . yet the amount of solid anthemic style tracks the band have produced is just amazing . just listen to . welcome to the north . getaway . the spike . bleed from within . vision . the last one . drugs . fire especially the live posting of fire here on the right posted by giantfryingpan that lasts only 47 seconds . but the energy & guitars on this clip are fantastic ..

This is the best band nobody is listening too (or so it seems), along with Fiction Plane. The sad state of "mainstream" music, these bands have talent, mainstream industry snubs talent, it's more interested in a look or something other than THE MUSIC. All other "newer" bands have failed to impress me, 2001 isn't exactly new but still... I can't think of many bands formed past 2001 that I've truly LOVED, The Music & Fiction Plane are 2 that have.

If you ever get the chance you MUST go see them. I seen them play 4 times when they were touring their first CD. Followed them from San Francisco to Las Vegas, seen them a few moths later in San Fran then again for Lollapalooza. Amazing band, amazing music, changed my life profoundly. Their sound is just so awaking to the human spirit. I love these guys.They are also very friendly and kind to their crazy fans! Rob, and guys thanks for being so sweet and not calling security. My only gripe with this song (and it is a tiny tiny one) is that the last line is 'you all want more'. it should have ended on 'the devil comes' to re-inforce the massive rallying warning cry that i think this song is. mega tune otherwise, one of the best off the new album. off to see them on sunday, cant wait. long live the music!

That's not strictly true. The Artic Monkeys and the rest of the nouveau George Formby movement are doing well flaunting their "we're just ordinary lads" stuff. The Music are unpretentious and just make good music without fitting into any fad or fashion. That's why they'll never be massive but will always retain a dedicated following of people who just like good music.
