  • What size bulb is this? Its the same size in another part in my lexus but uses the same size bulb.

  • Did not work for me. Your clock cannister popped right now. Mine won't budge and I am messing up my dash with little screwdriver divots around the clock cannister.

    Thanks anyway.

  • Can't thank you enough for this! I can't believe how easy that was! I figured you had to take the dash apart! Saved me a trip to the dealer for sure!

  • Thanks so much for posting this video.

  • Worked like a charm! Went to the dealership a while back and they wanted $40.00 to do it and told me that is was so expensive because they had to take apart the whole dashboard. I knew that was a rip off. Found this video, went to the dealership, bought a new light, and did it myself. The whole thing cost me $4.19.

  • Wohoo. I was so proud of myself after I did this! Thanks so much for posting this video

  • Is there an LED replacement?

  • could you make a video on how to change the dash gear select light and the odometer light thanks.

  • Worked like a charm. Thanks!

  • Will this also work on a 2003?? My mechanic says he would have to remove the dashboard.

  • You are the best! Went to Radio Shack, bought two bulbs for $2.18 total, pulled out the clock and changed the bulb. For the first time in 6 years, I can see what time it is at night.

  • @debsails Hello,do you have a part number for the clock bulb,Thank you

  • @TheCartunzz same question here

  • can you show us how to replace odyssey clock for 2003

  • Are you serious! Some other sites are saying to remove many more parts, clips...blah blah. 5 minutes max and you are done. Thanks for the video. Now I don't have to hit my dash anymore to have my clock come on!

  • Been driving w/o that light for years. 1 trip to radio shack and $2.18 later I can see what time it is!! Thanks for this video!

  • Is there a place online where I can buy this bulb?

  • maybe ur fuse for the light went out

  • MAKE SURE U TAKE THE COONNECTIONS OUT FIRST I DIDNT AND IT FRIED A FUSE AND COULDN;T MOVE THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOPE THEY HAVE THERIGHT COLOR FOR YA TOO.

  • Also Accord owners, you can simply buy just the same bulb without the base at Radioshack in a 2 pack for like $1.49.

Reuse the plastic base, just bend the little thin metal contacts straight, pull the bulb out, stick the new bulb back where the old came out, bend the contacts to where they were before.

You may need to snip off a wee bit of extra wire on the bulk bulbs.

Heck, fix your Accord, and a friends for under $2.00

  • i have the 2dr accord and my light for my ac is out, its more in the middle so im guessing this wont work?

  • Very useful, thanks a lot!

  • Just replaced it. This video saved me a lot time. The bulb can be found on ebay for $3.25 shipped.

  • Easy and Usefull Vid

  • I bought the car and I was wondering why the clock wasnt lit, figured it was a disign flaw. Im going to change the bulb and see what happens Im psyched!

  • what is the bulb Number or Can I buy off ur store or radio shack I NEed bulb number plz?!

  • can you post a video on how to replace the odometer backlight bulb for a 99 accord? that went out as well as the backlight for the clock and the low fuel indicator does not light up anymore...awesome video thank you

  • real helpful man!!.thnx

  • I wanted to fix my clock for a long time but don't know how, thanks for the video.

  • What is the part number?

  • I had to fix that once. What about the backlight behind the right-side climate control knob? That's the only thing that won't light up now.

  • Thanks for this video, it's helpful! Do you have one on or know how to get the panel of to replace the fan speed control knob light? What about the odometer? Mine are burned out and I'd really like to get them working again! Thanks

  • thanks......

  • is there anyway to change the color of the bulb? like do they sell these size bulbs in any stores? please let me know...

  • @JMKBEAST20

I don't think they have color bulbs for the clock , only the dealer sells the clock ill. bulb.

  • @Hondarepairadvice yeah i was just wondering cuz i know one guy who has an 02 accord se coupe...(same as mine) and his clocks light is blue...

  • @JMKBEAST20 A Radio Shack #7219, product number 272-1092, 12 volt micro lamp will work. All you will need to do is trim the excess leads off after you wrap the lamp around the black screw base. Watch how you unwind the wire leads from the bad bulb so you can wrap the new bulb on the base.

  • ya i already put the new bulb in and it still doesn't work. Does n e one know why???

  • @CNCMazakCNC

did you turn the bulb clockwise to lock it?

  • @CNCMazakCNC

Did you make sure that the small metal strands on the bulb are wrapped around the plastic housing of the new bulb in the same fashion as the old bulb? Otherwise the new bulb you're installing won't be making any electrical contact with the circuit board you're plugging it onto.

  • @CNCMazakCNC Did you try the fuse?

  • @kornreich what fuse??

  • sweet awesome video sssssssahhhhhhhhh

  • if I go to Autozone what kind of bulb should I look for?

  • Autozone doesn't carry the bulb, the dealer should have it.

  • Wow, the shop told me this would cost a couple hundreds bucks because they had to remove the entire dash to replace the buld. Thanks for posting.

  • Bulb cost from the dealer.....$1.97 :)
