  • Thank you for the link my friend. Great to see you still making great tributes and having fun :)) great to see you again urbania, wish you everything best and keep on rocking!!

    chers,

    paul

  • @Rozq87 Thanx Paul.. and, after we collaborated, you must definitely call me Giorgio. Did you already know APP?

  • @urbania70 my bad Giorgio. Won't happen again :) yes you enlightened me :))

    cheers

  • @urbania70 great performance! is always nice to hear people with talent.

  • @GUSANTRO thank you very much. If you know the Project you find many more APP piano covers on my channel

  • @jetamez Muchas Gracias :-)

  • @jetamez Thank you very much. The person which commented before you said the same about the faithfulness of the piano. I've transcribed carefully the chords of this Eric's masterpiece.

  • Wow, the piano is barely indistinguishable from the original!

This is one of my APP favourites, strangely underrated (like so many APP songs).

Great rendition, Alec! It's a difficult one vocally. The vocals span a wide a range.

Do you know what L. Duncan passed away from? She must have been no older than 65.

  • @chocolatepoundcake Thanks a lot Christine :-))) When we recorded this we knew Leslie has passed away. I already loved this song (I agree it's underrated) and when I knew the sad news I planned the cover with Giorgio. Thanks again !

  • @chocolatepoundcake Yes, Leslie Duncan sadly passed away... 3 days after I uploaded my Secret Garden cover, which I had dedicated to women in general- when discovering this I dedicated it to her in particular. And we did this one on purpose to dedicate it for her memory.

This is a song which Alec has proposed to me to cover since long time. About the piano.. yes I put always more care in transcription.. Alec was patiently present during the time I transcribed it - another Eric's masterpiece.

  • Another fantastic collaboration and the song is very beautiful, one of my favorites.

Impeccable, as you have accustomed us!

    Congratulations!

    5 * and fav!

  • @jarrelana Thank you very much Jarrelana ! ;-)

  • Great tribute, guys!!

  • @AlanEricFan Thanks again ! ;-)

  • @220773 Troppo forte leggere i tuoi commenti Gian, mezzo scozzese, mezzo romano e mezzo veronese!

  • @ALEClovesGENIALMUSIC Ce mancherebbe, Alessa', v'ascolto sempre e comunque.

  • @urbania70 Gio': io so' malato di musica, tienilo in considerazione.

Fredda Oslo? "I remember windy shores.. on melancholy ways.. drifting along with the tide.." Ma non avete le correnti calde lassù?

  • @Fernandocatan Grazie Fernando !!

  • Outstanding! Two "good friends"

  • @fazil69 Er.. Fazil.. what do you mean by the quotes? I know this is originally sung by a woman but.. well we're both straight :-D

  • @urbania70 What I mean to say is that you and Alec are my good friends:)

  • @fazil69 Yes yes.. I was kidding :-D Thank you very much for the beautiful words, Fazil

  • @fazil69 ;-) Thanks a lot distant friend !

  • Ragazzi...sempre eccezionali...

  • *****

    Luca.

  • @snorkies1 Grazie Luca ! ;-)

  • Oh my God....just beautiful. As always, both thrilled me with your work.

It´s a very beautiful tribute to the memory of Lesley.

My words are useless....... It´s best to see and listen your video again and again.

    Thanks so much.

  • @milaraven Thank you very much Mila for always being there.

The vocal arrangement has been a bit challenging.. as you see we had to lower octave in various parts to suit the male voice, but in other moments Alec insisted to sing in the original high octave.. as consequence there's some jumps, and after some trials we thought to insert there some pauses to create little moments of tension.

  • @milaraven Thank you Mila ! I quote what Giorgio already said. We have tried to find the better compromise to arrange it and make it 'flow' the right way ;-)

  • great tune good work!

  • @sevenender Tank you friend!

  • A great tribute to the singer of this lovely song. Alec, Best wishes to you guys.

  • muere homenaje...

  • Waw, this is an amazing one too ! Bravo guys.

  • @Symphony101Music Thanx Yves.. this time I had time to transcribe only the piano, but the original has great symphonic arrangements.

  • @Symphony101Music Thanks again Yves !

  • I didn't know Lesley had passed, for fuck's sake...

And now it's just another reason not to listen to Eric's masterpieces any longer for I don't know how long...

These months are going to be remembered as the worse ever for any APP fan, can't believe life goes on and takes away our wee heroes.

    R.I.P. Lesley.

  • @220773 Yes, it's sad news. But I must say that, since a couple of months after Eric's departure for the great sea, I never saw the fan community so tight and full of initiatives. These songs are becoming always more classics, and the fans are really doing all the possible to contribute maintaining this music alive.

  • Great job !

A pure pleasure for me !

  • @JOEneil69 ;-) Mercì Lionel !!!

  • Great job to both of you! :-))

  • @zorapapp Thanx Zora for your support. Happy to let you know the splendid songs which Eric Woolfson wrote for The Alan Parsons Project.

  • @zorapapp Thank you Zora ! ^_^

  • What a beautiful collaboration.

I am so impressed with you both on this.

The piano magnificent, the vocals just Glorious!

just how much pleasure you both get from sharing this song and

    its simply wonderful.

  • @JoSieLove2Sing4u

What beautiful words, thank you - Giorgio

Thank you so much Jo ... "glorious" :-) You're SO kind, I'm so happy to have made your day :-) Hugs ! - Alec

  • Pulls up seat next to Dan. *Smile* for the show.

  • I am here, I am so delighted .... *Hits Play*

  • Well done both of you and a fitting tribute to Lesley. Unfortunately I am old enough to remember her music in the 60's although her backing vocals, with the other 2 girls, on Dark Side of the Moon were outstanding

  • @icebluehorizon Thank you very much Mike! Yes, the voice of Lesley on both Dark Side (although backing vocal, especially on Brian Damage and Time) and Eve is awesome. Haha, why unfortunately.. it's great you experienced so many musical periods,

    Alec, Giorgio

  • :'-D

Another beautiful song, another beautiful rendering from two artists like you, my friends!

Another everything-harmonized-in-a-single-piano-part arrangement by Giorgio... another expressive singing from Alessandro; both the two you greatly following the flow of the song, in each one of its nuances... could we ask for more?!

The setting's just great: looks like you're kinda practicing this song for a theatrical show!

I'm sure Lesley's there, listening, watching, smiling, blessing!

    :'-)

  • @danbergam Thanx Dan, this has just been recorded, and right now we're recording more :-) Giorgio, Alec

  • @urbania70 &ALEClovesGENIALMUSIC

    *drools*

    ;-D
