uhh, so you're honda's pushing 600 hp on HOW many pounds of boost? No matter how you put it, V8's with larger displacement engines will top out smaller engines. If you invested 20K to get 600hp in a civic, you can in all likelihood get 750+ hp in a domestic V8

Well if a car has a smaller displacement engine, of course it needs to be turbocharged to keep up with a larger displacement engine. so what's the arguement in this? The only reason Japanese prefer smaller engine is because they get taxed based on the displacement size. But they do make a few V8s like Tundra, Titan, 4Runner, ISF, LS460, M45.
I'm pretty sure the Koeningsegg CCX is the third fastest at the moment. Behind the Ultimate Aero and the Veyron. The new CCXR haven't been fully tested yet, but theoretical top speed is 409 km/h.
The engines in them are based on Ford V8's by the way.

The ZO6 has more HP and a better HP/LBS ratio The GT-R has AWD The ZO6 has better TOP SPEED The GT-R Has Better Acceleration The GT-R corners better and accelerates through corners better becasue of the AWD. If you watch any videos except the ones that Nissan made for the GT-R (which happens to be the sole lifeline of Japanese supercars) you'd see that when Porsche bought one that they couldn't get theirs to run within 25 seconds of the time that Nissan ran on their track time. Nissan told them to LEARN HOW TO DRIVE. PORSCHE USES THAT TRACK MORE THAN ANY OTHER BRAND. The conclusion. It proves that the GT-R Nissan used had modifications further than stock. Tires, power mods, etc.
On top of that, in any real race you'll see at a track, Z06s are more consistent through the corners and once moving accelerate faster than the GT-R. Zero to sixty, sure the all wheel drive GT-R is faster, I can accept that. Once you slam that 7.0 liter aluminum block rear wheel drive monster into third though, the rest of the quarter mile is done. As for cornering faster, the GT-R is rated at a .90 lateral G rating. The Z06 is rated at 1.01. So shove your magazine bullshit up your ass.

Exactly, lateral G's being pulled without losing the control, there are plenty of old muscle cars that pull almost a full G, Camaros in the 68 range can run about .89, which is more then 95%+ new cars, import OR domestics, all the cars I listed in a earlier comment corner at about the same capabilities stock as the Camaro I just mentioned.

uhh, so you're honda's pushing 600 hp on HOW many pounds of boost? No matter how you put it, V8's with larger displacement engines will top out smaller engines. If you invested 20K to get 600hp in a civic, you can in all likelihood get 750+ hp in a domestic V8

Well if a car has a smaller displacement engine, of course it needs to be turbocharged to keep up with a larger displacement engine. so what's the arguement in this? The only reason Japanese prefer smaller engine is because they get taxed based on the displacement size. But they do make a few V8s like Tundra, Titan, 4Runner, ISF, LS460, M45.

I'm pretty sure the Koeningsegg CCX is the third fastest at the moment. Behind the Ultimate Aero and the Veyron. The new CCXR haven't been fully tested yet, but theoretical top speed is 409 km/h.
The engines in them are based on Ford V8's by the way.

If you watch any videos except the ones that Nissan made for the GT-R (which happens to be the sole lifeline of Japanese supercars) you'd see that when Porsche bought one that they couldn't get theirs to run within 25 seconds of the time that Nissan ran on their track time. Nissan told them to LEARN HOW TO DRIVE. PORSCHE USES THAT TRACK MORE THAN ANY OTHER BRAND. The conclusion. It proves that the GT-R Nissan used had modifications further than stock. Tires, power mods, etc.

On top of that, in any real race you'll see at a track, Z06s are more consistent through the corners and once moving accelerate faster than the GT-R. Zero to sixty, sure the all wheel drive GT-R is faster, I can accept that. Once you slam that 7.0 liter aluminum block rear wheel drive monster into third though, the rest of the quarter mile is done. As for cornering faster, the GT-R is rated at a .90 lateral G rating. The Z06 is rated at 1.01. So shove your magazine bullshit up your ass.

I'm so tired of you fucking magazine jockeys coming up to me who have never even hung out at a road course. Go outside and actually watch these cars run. I can say from personal experience I've seen Z06s DESTORY GT-Rs on road courses time and time again. God forbid we get the ZR-1 involved, or the Viper ACR. Those are monsters in their own respect. Seriously, don't throw numbers at me. Go look for yourself.

isn't it as long as the wheels don't slip out it makes them good a cornering? i do full 90 - 129 degree turns at like 40 and my car never feels like its gonna flip or chirp. and with the addition of radials and heavy suspension spring it never will. weight will distribute evenly and all will be right with the world

Exactly, lateral G's being pulled without losing the control, there are plenty of old muscle cars that pull almost a full G, Camaros in the 68 range can run about .89, which is more then 95%+ new cars, import OR domestics, all the cars I listed in a earlier comment corner at about the same capabilities stock as the Camaro I just mentioned.

Oh by the way. Corners have to do with WEIGHT much more than anything else. American cars (with the exception of the Corvette, Viper, and the supercars) are all porkers. LSD is important for turns but the only muscle car to come standard with one is the new Camaro.

But you are wrong in some way, High torque cars are good in Cornering depending along with the weight of Course, 60s Camaros & mustangs are not a Heavy as Most people think . As for 60s 70s Chargers they are heavy indeed, Definately Not ideal for Corners. But i the End Such Cars as Chargers, Mustang Cobras, Corvettes and vipers are King over JP imports best Cars , Its Written.

Most midsize old school US domestics take corners just fine, Darts, Camaros, Firebirds, Dusters, Mustangs, Fairlanes, GTO's, Tempests, Javelins, Cougars, all corner well, AND weigh 3500lbs or less!! That's what a honda Accord weighs!!

some muscle cars weigh very little like mustang. but its also about weight dist. still, the mustang was a legend. i seen supras destroy viper on the drags, but i also seen vipers beat fd's indrift. point is, they r both good, and have stregnths and weaknesses. i have invented a system which will outhandle and outrad anything, but wont beat stuff in a mpg contest

I never said Drifting was Cornering, But it Relates to it somehow. Driving on Grip is much more effective. For those people who think Corvettes and Vipers take corners at low speeds because they have bad handling that makes them Big Ignorant shit Ricers.
