that poor little betta dosen't have enough space :( betta's like to swim side to side not up and down, and they are considered Siamese fighting fish not Japanese. and the betta's don't seem to look happy :( they seem stressed a bit. it's a great idea it is just betta's don't deserve to live in jars, make it'll be better if it was bigger by width and length

Awesome idea. No, seriously, it's genius! However. BETTAS ARE TROPICAL FISH AND USUALLY REQUIRE HEATERS IN THEIR TANKS.

Also, they're known as "Siamese" Fighting Fish, not "Japanese." Really, you just proved you haven't been into aquariums all your life at all, just had a good idea (or borrowed it.)

Plus, the plants shown require a _lot_ of light. Keeping one on your desk will only result in dead mush, instead of that beautiful baby Amazon Sword you put in (that grow to be like 18" tall.)

would it work at a larger scale? maybe 30 gal or larger? awesome idea! a bucket in, a bucket out
