Lol, you're just looking at it all wrong. This is all a mental issue here. Peach is traumatized from losing Mario, so she hallucinates, projecting her memories of Mario onto Bowser. That's why she goes on and on about him not protecting her and being like Mario until the end of episode 8.

I can definitely say, though, that I like how you worked with the stage itself there - that is, the fact that Onett's drivers can't stay on the road. (Translated, the car obstacles)

Though Frigate Orpheon's blackout must have been lucky, it was definitely perfect for the scene in question.

You forget. Peach is under the delusion that Bowser is trying to be her Mario since Bowser says things like protecting her and such like Mario used to do. She doesn't want Bowser to do that, but deep down, there's a lingering sentiment towards Mario that makes her hallucinate and see Bowser as Mario until episode 8.
