When I was in my final year of High School, a teacher would play some music to get the students to homeroom on time. He doesn't work at the school no more, but we're pen pals.

my school has 2 different warning bells over the PA system (3 min and 1 min) before the late bell for 1st period and in march 2008 they programmed a new and annoying warning signal that comes over the PA 1 min before each late bell after 1st period i liked it better without that new warning bell

Our school has a bell over the pa too, but it doesn't tell you how much time. It's like 4 and 1/2 rings at the exact time you need to be in the room. And if someone is talking on the PA system, it'll cut you off.
