  • roll on floor laughing...i think.

  • google that shit

  • lol dream2last that was a bad way of putting it lol..

  • Can you believe this num skull LEATHERFACE20066. One Indian film wins the OSCARS after 80 odd years and this joker is complaining. Can you believe this guy. Let them enjoy this historic moment for christs sakes. Maybe we should all complain about BARACK OBAMA being the first ever black president.

  • devv..cutiee.

  • don't be so stupid and close minded. it is a good movie, maybe you don't enjoy it but many others do. you need to get your head out of your ass and get some fresh air buddy.

  • lol the red dot

  • leatherface. American films always win. And most American movies are just crap. American movies always have the same old story lines. Cops and robbers. Good guys bad guys. Shoot em up. It just gets boring watching the same old Hollywood crap year in year out. Its good to watch something thats different from now and again. If we all had your attitude, we would not have a BLACK PRESIDENT.

  • leatherface, hollywood movies are all the same shit : fucking sucking stripping...just watch kate winslet, or many of the 100 sluts on celebrity movie archive.

slumdog doesn't have the indecency or vulgarity of regular hollywood movies (smooching, stripping, fucking), so i can watch the movie without embarassment with my family....go SLUMDOG!

  • This movie is amazing...

All bollywood movies (well most of them) focus on middle-high class love stories.

This shows that India has vibrance not only in the upper class of society but also in the slums. There is no use ignoring it. I'm Indian and i love india..but i dnt deny the truth.

  • this is was the best movie I ever seen apart from all other Indian bullshilt movies which makes no sense except falling in love and getting married from last 50 years same story going on

  • hahaah yea.

    i agree.

are u from india or pakistan?

    me paki :)

  • I went to the luna cinemas and watch it today

  • "why are so many stupid and immature Indians getting defensive about this movie ? "..Having spent 6 months in India I can tell you why.

Poverty is something middle class Indians don't like to talk about. They don't like having to account for the extremities of the caste system and the treatment of women and children in general. They make excuses for poverty ,rather than own up to the fact that its caused by immoral human behavior.

  • Comment removed

  • it's caused by a system that's been ingrained for centuries....it is immoral (in much the same way free market capitalism is) but will take time to change...it's already starting

  • omg freida is grogeous!!!

  • yes thats MIA

  • it's inspiring

  • AMAZING MOVIE

  • if you havnt seen this film yet. GO SEE IT. you will not be disapointed. has some awsome sound tracks on it too

  • lol i always laugh at the start where as kids they are running away from the security guard the usic is awesome!! "you cant catch me, cuz i run so fast blah blah bkah hhahaha iLOVE this movie by the way =)

  • seeing this film many of u might think India is just all about slums but its not right every coin has 2 sides no1 can name a country with 0%poverty n so with india but it has much more india is making progress day by day but u see these things neutralise all benefit but THE FILM IS TRUE o 1 can deny this

    cause is the corruption

i like such movies depecting truth but i must say INDIA is not all about slums there is much more but ya this is darker side!

  • India, haS 456 million people or about 42% of the population living below the new international poverty line of $1.25 per day. The number of Indian poor also constitute 33% of the global poor, which is pegged at 1.4 billion people.India also had 828 million people, or 75.6% of the population living below $2 a day.India is home to roughly one-third of all poor people in the world. It also has a higher proportion of its population living on less than $2 per day than even sub-Saharan Africa.

  • why are so many stupid and immature Indians getting defensive about this movie ? I cannot understand. Why are you worried about how the west percieves you ? This movie means great business for the Indian Film Industry in the future.

  • u will know the pain when u work abroad n when ur friends discuss this at lunch .......n mark my word, all the whites take immense pleasure in touching the sensitive part n laugh at ur back. u need to be in the situation to absorb it.

  • ive been living in the United States since I was 15. don't be so sensitive, be a little thick skinned and mentally strong, or India will remain backward.

  • Im amazed at your will and determination.I believe india has gotten this far because of such determination and ability to hang on in the roughest of seas.India is undoubtedly a land of strong men and women maybe not physically but mentally. They know how to take shit but hang on when it matters the most. Indians deserve the success because of its perseverance or stubborness.Something the world is yet to learn.India will be a success if it also gets the ability to acknowledge harsh poverty facts..

  • That's true. India is the next growing power after China. For people outside the IT industry, India offers excellent programmers and doctors, and a lot of doctors are indians in NY and they are excellent as well.

Maybe their spoken English is not really understandable, and people might underestimate them, but their real potential is underneath that surface.

  • exploiting pseudo intellectual master piece loaded with copyright infringments can cause loss of self respect and make u say that gal is sexy.

  • Well, she IS hot..

  • out of the 10million patels in the world Dev gets picked wow....

  • lol

  • 10/10 perfect

  • wow...im sry but u are one confused kid

  • Dev Patel is the luckiest actor in the world...

  • Saw it. Beautiful! 10/10

  • I agree!

  • lol ...indians aren't juss ganna act that they own u..they do own u ...

also it will be remembered in a month...when it wins all those oscars so tough luck

  • This movie is appreciated on every level. Look beyond expectations, stereotypes, religions and all that separates us from our true self. beautiful.

  • Yeah, but people on the internet are anonymous and don't really give a shit, so they type whatever they won't say in real life to another person. It's annoying right? Beautiful movie, I agree.

  • lol its not even arab you shithead. two different movies altogether. I can't believe how ignorant you can get. Educate yourself

  • You are absolutly disgusting, ignorant, and an all around abomination.

Arabic countries have absolutely nothing to do with India, and there are more than a few countries that separate India from the Middle East. Get a map you worthless dickhead.

  • Lol try INDIAN movie its not arab, shows how ignorant and silly you are. I loved the Dark Knight and i love this film better, its so beautiful ::)

  • i think they are confusing Muslim with Arab.

Jamal is Muslim-the character, that is, in Slumdog Millionaire-their mother is killed in a riot between Hindus and Muslims.

  • WOW ur pathetic bitch can't separate an arab film from an indian film. BOTH dark knight and Slumdog millionaire were good movies but slumdog millionaire had more of an uniqueness factor.

  • you're so dumb. i am shocked you even understood the dark knight.

  • I never make comments on youtube...but i failed to resist. @dighorkerdan: what image are you talking about....! i think you earning your bread here in UK (Irresponsible & racist country)..! Y don't you go back ..do something about that image(lol) of our INDIA..

    PEACE PREVAIL....

  • kudos to danny! awesome movie...me being from Bombay can relate to it...! @ mywords4u : its not Indian govt have no solution..! but in fact thats ('Slums') the only solution when they want votes during election time..Becuz people living in slums are easy to be manipulated or influenced! other people who live in bombay (myself in that domain too)are thick skinned to all these ...! Slums are actually created by system ..becuz govt needs them...!

  • Why do English love to create a pathetic picture of other country. Why not use the same concept to depict irresponsible attitude of people in Uk,homelessness and racism.

What image has the movie created on international audience!

    shame on the Indians involved.

  • my friend there is no point in denying the fact that mumbai has big slums in it. Dannie has just put those slums on a film medium. Indians and Indian govt has no solution for those expanding slums. They have becoming reality of life and they are actually pathetic

  • Was this a 'pathetic picture' of India? Being from India myself, I saw how accurate and also how warm the portrayal was. It shows India as vibrant, ingenious and enterprising, and it was also brilliant to have an intimate picture of the lives of so many street children/hawkers etc that you see every day.

Secondly, the image of India we get in the west now is that it is really successful and I always have to remind people that all these problems still exist!

  • Dude, the slums, gangsters and everything in the movie are present in India. It's not like he's making anything up. Stop making such a fuss

  • Why do people make such a huge fuss about this? The audience will understand that this is just an exploration of one side of India. It is not a "pathetic picture of a country" as you say but highlights something that is true and present not only in India but in many countries around the world. I think it is a beautiful and warm film regardless.

  • I agree the movie is close to my heart

  • best movie i've ever seen.

if you haven't seen it, WATCH IT! (:

  • amazing movie.

  • I love Dev! He's sooooo cute!!

  • I agree, he is gorgeous!

  • indian directors should make a movie called "UK Council house Junky"

  • lol

In fairness Danny Boyle did make Trainspotting.

  • yh i know its anwar!!

  • And he's BRILLIANT in the movie!

  • It's Anwar!
