I think it was in 2004.

I know that because Nicky's Honda was the one using a 5 Cylinders with a crossplane crankshaft devellopped by Alex Barros & the HRC..

Only Barros Hayden & Biaggi used this RCV version.

its first race was at Sachensring '04.

The sound was clearly more bass than the "classic" 5 Cylinders Flatplane crankshaft...That's why I've recognize it

It was a wonderfull bike with 2 beautifull conical pipes on the edge of the rear fuselage...Love this terrific sound!!

They're the 990cc monsters, A 125 wouldn't be able to do that under power.

ohh i see, i know hardly anything about MotoGP, bit i''m suprised such a big engine has that high of an exhaust note, it reminded me of a pit bike

These engines were revving to approx 17000 rpm thats why they sound so high pitched.
