Its a great gun!!.. I have one too and I know this is a bb gun, mine is a paintball one and it fires good, light weight even with the 12oz co2 cartridge, very accurate too..

I own the real P99 AS and when I was watching this until I saw the magazine, I thought it was a real pistol. :) The way they make these guns nowadays. Even more realistic LOOKING than the blank firing pistols replicas.

@TehVern Well you dont even need to go for such a high of a weight, what really matters is the finish of the bb, the weight only effects how fast the bb will go, how wind will effect it and how the hop up will effect it... People typically use .30 so the bb doesnt curve left or right, but if you get a V saped hop up space and bucking you wont have that problem... food for though

It depends on your gun though at 14 i think you may be a little young to get into the sport but its like real life pistols the amuntion doesnt travel to far lets give it 100 feet. Aegs 150-225 maybe more depends on barrel length and your spring and stuff. snipers around 300+ dependsing on the rifle. though i dont think over 350 feet. Also i notice you live in canada and are guns canot go over 500fps (feet per second) also for you bb comment. you use as much as you squeez the trigger

lol @ silencer :p its called a suppressor it doesnt silence the weapon at all. only the the forward going sound is displaced stand behind the gunner and its just as loud . and they dont increase the accuracy much.

use only 134A. I live in the USA and we dont have predator gas but from what Ive read in forums- Ultra gas has too high psi and will damage your internals eventually.

The hammer spring in the GBB is too weak to handle propane or green gas constantly. It can if it's new but only for a short while. At least in my exp.

GBB is Gas Blow Back, NBB is Non-Blow Back. The NBB is more powerful and can handel Green Gas but is discontinued so theyre rare. The GBBs are nice but not nearly as strong or reliable. I've owned two GBB versions and one broke and I sold the other.

The NBB is a discontinued item so I got mine off of Ebay. You'll have to keep tabs on there. The GBB is sold out at a lot of places also so it's hard to find. Good luck man. I hope you find one.

these exploding bb's can only explode on hard surfaces - its basically the same concept as those white exploding things that you throw on the ground - I dont think a push from the green gas inside the gun will make it explode

Well, depends. The FS (fixed slide) is EXTREMELY hard to find but I feel its worth it because after all- it's a side arm so it's more for CQB, not distance. I love my P99 bc it's always been my favorite gun. The GBB version sucks. I had the first gen which has been upgraded a lot since I've had it but it still sucked the big one. If your friend is lucky enough to find a P99 FS (keep tabs on eBay, that's where I got mine) tell him to not hesitate. Hope this helps.
