  • sounds like a missing persons song lol

  • @sujimanfsu Lol that's exactly what i was thinking!

  • There is funk involved in this BEAT! Cool!

  • 80's simple??! Ever try searching for a pay phone at night in the rain with a flat tire? Nothing simple about the Time before Cell Phones

  • Mike Score, Ed Berner, A.J. Mazzetti, Dean Pichette, Chris Chryssaphis, Gary Steadin

  • sorry MrThunderbeast Mike moved to Philly I would know he lived with me. Ali moved to Boston prior, Frank and Paul stayed in L'pool. He used alot of Philly Musicians Mike Radcliffe, Ed, Berner, Mike Petta to name a few. At one time Mike Railo and and a friend of his named Jonte came over from L'Pool. After Pauls illness they went thru many incarnations....seek and you shall find.

  • @jmg3244 LMFAO! Sorry, jmg, but you just made a complete ass of yourself!

  • @MrThunderbeast how so? Mike Score did live in Philly?

  • @MrThunderbeast how so? Mike Score did live in Philly? Oops that should say Mike DID live in Philly

  • @dccircuitboy First of all, jmg said that Mike Score lived with him. Secondly, Mike never used local musicians until they moved to Florida. He kept the same lineup for the next 2 albums minus Paul Reynolds of course. jmg is another patron of the "claim to fame by proxy" syndrome. In some cases, the poor devils actually start to believe their own BS. It's quite sad.

  • @jmg3244 Why didn't you just say you were Mike Score's butt buddy from the beginning? We would have believed you. LMAO!

  • Mm...I don't really like this 1 :/

  • i think i got this video

  • How can a blond have such a strong hair!!! what´s his secret?? I am blond but as bald as Bruce Willis, great this groups from the new wave, supposedly commercial but full of emotion and inspiration! The same as nowadays

  • @BlackSkyThunder if ur blonde how r u bald

  • Its a good tune for the dance floor...but dosnt do any thing for me rock wise ...too light and dsco like...I would like to see paul make a jazz fusion alblum or a solo rock alblum there is too much talent there to be setting there doing nothing...

  • What the fuck

  • this is so a mid 80's video

  • Love this song!!! Has a very retro hair metal vibe.

    Love Hair Metal!!!!

  • The guitar is actually pretty good, but seem to be obscured a lot.

  • A different type of song for sure, BUT the back-up chicks " HI !! " in the background is off the charts ! i'm sure that they are totally 10 / 10 knockout blondes with an IQ 0f 10.5 . The best " Hi " I've ever heard . Good experimantation with the Oriental keyboards. Perfected on Storey of a younf Heart.

  • If you listen to Space Age Love song and Wishing those songs a re fantastic ! I f they could of made more music like that who knows how far this band could of went !

  • What hits did they have after Paul left and do you know why he left?

  • @mach1man22 "Who's that Girl" was a minor hit, and they had relocated to Philadelphia minus Paul, who I assume wanted to stay in the UK

  • @spjunkie the only original member that relocated to Philly was Mike

  • @jmg3244 Actually all three relocated to Philly. The only one who didn't was Paul reynolds.

  • Paul Reynolds left on his own terms, he was mentally sick and tired. The rest didn't leave until two years later.

The theory is according to Frank is that Paul was too young for the lifestyle he was living and it eventually caught up with him, plus according to Paul he was an alcoholic which didn't help and was a factor for making him leave the band.

  • By this time P. Reynolds and

    F. Maudsley had left the band, or played very little on the album. Notice the mysterious hired guns in the video, who the hell are those guys? That can't be P. Reynolds on guitar. His style is instrumental to the classic AFOS sound.

  • MON GROUPE PREFERE

  • Director and...hell,anyone who came up with ANY of the ideas for this video were obviously on a LOT of drugs,or they were EXTREMELY odd,but the songs awesome ^^

  • ehh this sounds too much like Depeche mode I LOVE depeche mode dont get me wrong but this isnt AFOS' sound

  • Sort of a DM-Duran Duran mix

  • not their best, but still a good song

  • i've listened to 3 lps . i heard 14 great songs and 5 brilliant songs . i have heard seven songs that shoulda been number one and the other 12 coulda been top 20.they were better than duran who did 2 good songs per lp.

  • this video is so kool!!!!

  • Sorry mike. You sounded bttere 5 ys ago.

  • esto si era musica.

    grande a flock of seagulls

  • As has been said, the song is fairly unstructured and seems to have a life of its own, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The video's typical 80s made on a shoestring budget with lots of repetition, but ultimately it's down to the song, which stands the test of time quite well, although over-produced like most artists of their time.

  • "avengerberetta" is a fucking idiot. This is a great AFOS song and the video is cool and entertaining.

  • funny nice clip... great track

  • I had never seen this Video with my late sister Jayzik.

Shes the mixed raced girl with the dreds.

  • what a disturbing video! so cheap and yet so full of meaningless nightmarish dribble! what a waste of film!

  • aww common its awesome

  • besides mike, who was the guitarist after paul's depart?

  • I think it's Gary Steadman from Classix Nouveau.

  • That was a very long version of that song, which makes me wonder if Mike and company knew when to end it.

  • michael comes totally unglued in this video hahaha

    long live the 80s!

  • May not be the best AFOS song but still one of my favorites.

  • Its surprizing archaeologists haven't found any Stone Age electric guitars or synths yet!

  • the video is so bad but the music is good

  • Not their best song

  • yeah thats fucking shite

  • ionia23, shut up.

  • no, you misunderstand. This era was a good time to pack it in. I met Mike Score a few years back and he said that the whole of "Dream Come True" was purely a commercial effort he is humilated about. Great band, don't get me wrong, they just hit a creative wall after Paul Reynolds left.

  • the bottom of the heap. good time to stop.

  • a flock of seagulls no es nada sin paul reynolds

  • I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • O.O

  • agreed

  • I love this album and have listened to it more than their others, which are more original and skilled :)

Thanks so much for posting this video.....I didn't know there was one for this song.

  • With out PAUL The flock gust wasn't the same. Paul made the ban.

  • Yeah, maybe to you ageless30. But some people actually enjoy their music to this day.

  • People need to know "I Ran (So Far Away)" isn't the only song A Flock Of Seagulls made!

  • they need to hear songs like "messages" "its not me talking" wishing, transfer affection, and modern love is automatic.

  • paul left in 1985

  • wow Mike has nice hair. LOL.

  • oh pual wasnt there at that time???

  • no that's like 1986 I think, paul quit due to alcohol problems, someone corrects me if Im wrong

  • you are corect this is actualy the second time he left due to his problem and teh first time he left it was beause he almost had a nervouse brake down on his your

  • The guy on the guitar is Gary Steadnin.

  • oh he isnt to good there is bearly any guitar in there its kinds like the real 80's hrsh stuff lol anyway yup your write

  • He didn't return in 1989 and was replaced by Ed Berner who was himself replaced by Joe Rodriguez. But certainly I probably prefer Paul Reynolds. However, I respect the fact that he has personal problems that he needs to overcome.

  • i agree paul raynolds was the orijonal guy anyway ya cool stuff peace out

  • I think he left AFOS in 1984, I don't think it he had any type of alcohol problem though.

  • no no he had, if you search for the VH1 reunion on here you can see Paul himself saying that. as for the 1984 you are probably right
