You need to use soft, thin cased ammo. American Eagle, anything that is thin cased or aluminum, then no problems. I had some issues with my .380, but the thin cased and hollow point ammo works great with it. Remington and more standard stuff does not cut it for me. Federal, I forget the names. worked fine everytime.
@campusprowl WTF are you talking about you low IQ retard which I can't blame you 80% of people that comment on youtube have a low IQ. The FUCKING model latch was made in fucking 1911! If you read and comprehend well maybe you can understand, if you don't understand that I take it you are in elementary.
@Scor0806 I usually dont respong to this old but you do realize here that a 1911 is a gun model , this gun just ahppens to have a latch like a 1911, he was refering to it having a latch like a model 1911 gun .
I bought a 380 from a friend of mine for 50 bucks , I carry 1911s but I got to say I was impressed with the High Point . Great gun for a little money .
I have both those exact guns, the 9mm is dads an the 380 is mine, I got it as a gift for winning my 250B class championship at Loretta's, but I'm only 15 so obviously it's in his name lol, nice video man
Purchased my Hi-Point c9 for $165 which seems to be the going rate. Have had no magazine problems and the gun is surprisingly accurate. Part of the reason is the heavy slide. Only jammed 4 times but 3 of those times were my fault. For the money, it's a fairly good deal. Am thinking of ordering the 10 round mag which some have had problems with.
My wife bought one at my suggestion. She likes the low recoil of the heavy 380 gun. 9mm or .357 hurts her wrists. It worked fine as long as we stuck to recommended ammo. Very ammo picky. Weight is due to simple blowback action. But is good for her. Trigger was inconsistent and heavy compared to metal frame Rugers and Smiths we own, but not too bad. We both enjoyed shooting the 380.
The thing about these guns are that they are Heavy... I dont carry them concealed because its like putting a bowling ball under your arm.. you cant hide it! LOL.. BUT.. I DO carry one or the other hunting.. they are a GOOD weapon. They are solid as a tank.. even with some dirt in the mechanism.. you can get it out easy enough. They are accurate too. I guess the the company decided against using alot of polymers in these weapons - so thats why they are heavier than their counterparts.
if in a do or die situation an the gun drops falling on the clip the bottom of the clip comes off an all ur rounds including the spring drops out the bottom an then ur shit!!!! belive me!!! but other than that it fires on time.. im talking about the 9mm by the way.
@WeBlaze I bought my wife a .380 Highpoint (brand new) and it was $109, my Highpoint 9MM was only $129 .. I'm going to pick up a 45 cal (acp) for $169.. they seem to lower priced in rural areas like where I live (South Carolina).

I think saying they are easy to take apart is a bit missleading. A gun that is easy does not require any tools to field strip. These require a punch and a hammer to take down.
i have both of these myself, i like them pretty good.... at first i had a problem with both of them jaming on me all the time....i fixed that problem when i took the gun apart found out that the ejector spring was bad on both of them.....they are perfect now
Wow.. you paid $140 for the .380 and $160 for the 9MM? I bought these SAME exact guns for myself and my wife.. the .380 was $109.00 and the 9MM was $129.00! Depends on where you live I guess.
they are great guns though.i consider the c9 a great home defense backup to my ruger p89 since my aks will go through my neighbors house and then some lol.i like that dual tone looks really nice!
