  • I have a question. I kinda know now how the 1 year program goes, but I wanna know: does this demo reel is what is presented to the companies to showcase the talent of the student?

  • @bouchandre Hi, good question. Yes, our students use their final projects and demo reels as a showcase to the industry and prospective employers. Thanks!

  • this is awesome...wish u wre having any of ur branches in India too...if u 've any future plans to expand ur bussiness till here plz let me know..

  • @ashishkrrai Hi, we don't have any current plans to expand our campuses outside of Vancouver, although we do have an International Advisor based in India at the moment. Don't let the distance discourage you if you are interested in VFS, we have students from all over the world attending here. If you would like to find out more about coming to VFS as an international student, we would suggest filling out one of the Admissions Advisors contact forms at vfs(dot)com/startnow. Thanks!

  • Amazing ;)

  • what is the music?? I would like to know

  • @erichharvey In the end credits, it says that Ajay Bhattacharyya and Amy Kirkpatrick did the sound FX and music. It might be an original composition made specifically for this reel so it's probably not on sale anywhere but if it was, I'd totally buy it!

  • Anyone know the song?

  • @PSProductions00 We'd love to have you join us at VFS. Just let us know if you have any questions.

  • Wow thats crazy good - Btw, can anyone tell me how you do the special effect at the beginning where there are the words in the background and how they don't move even though the camera is?

  • @algancon its called tracking, where the program "track" a point a stick your object in it,

  • @syrianX Sweet! Thanks so much, I've always wondered how they did it!

  • impressive, the white wooden gate looked a little fake though...

  • This is awesome! i saw it ion vimeo a few months ago

  • And that's when the future X-Men "Anti-grav-man" learned about his mutant powers.

  • reminds me of UP

  • I was thinking of eureka the whole time...

  • Fascinating. Thanks for alluding to how the trick was done- I don't understand it all but I appreciated it.

  • REALLY good stuff, although i have to say that the fire hydrant looked just a little bit too "cg" or "clean"

  • Damn that was good

  • go ajay go

  • Maybe he should stop using his super powers...

  • @raliofanas u know its like 60k per term, so expensive m8

  • @lukyb123 But when end this unreal school u get really good JOB...I think that 60k payback when u work in film making.

  • beautiful!

  • WOW!

That's the best VFX reel one of your students has ever done! And not that the others weren't good - It just keeps getting more impressive every year!

  • I would love to learn Maya

  • Comment removed

  • @KBDProductionsTV U know Maya isn't that great. Its so confusing. It was part of my curriculum the year before my GCSE's, and its a lot of work for a little amount of film. Its only realistic if you put loadsa effort into it. Sadly :'(

  • @lukyb123 What would you recommend to be a good 3D program? :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV Maya is undoubtedly the best 3D software available, and has been used for countless films, including Shrek, and Harry potter (dragons, dobby, 3 headed dog...). However this program is about $3500 and extremely professional.

  • @lukyb123 This I would recommend however if you really wanted it, you could buy it second hand- but first try researching Autodesk Maya and look for a trial download. Other programs I reccomend are 3D Studio Max-sadly unavailable on Macs or perhaps Lightwave 3D- a fast redering program or even Maxon Cinema 4D. None are as good as Maya though

  • This is one of the most stunning 3d videos i've seen from VFS.. Superb!
