  • It's actually the old fanfare, we're now using all original music for the game, so no more Dissidia fanfare.

  • It is free-to-play yes and it will be available through a download link. Due to obvious legal constrictions I can't go selling this product to make profit even if I'd want to. This project has and always will be a tribute to the fans and the creators of Final Fantasy, and our way of giving back.

  • If you're referring to the song used on this video, it's "Hunter's Chance" from Final Fantasy IX. This particular version is a remix by The Black Mages.

  • Only the fanfare is from Dissidia. The battle music (which is old now) is from The Black Mages second album. A Rock band lead by Nobuo Uematsu himself.

  • O.o It's also the same (But sounds remixed) of the Star Ocean 3 Theme when your about to battle whats is face, on the first planet.

  • Both actually. Like the graphics, when it comes to the main characters I make special effort to use completely original designs and sprites.

    The same can be said about the music, character themes will all be original pieces, the main theme is an original piece and a few others will be too. But much like with the NPCs sprites, the occasional town and dungeon music has to be a piece from another game/film given that it'd be next to impossible to do all these as original pieces.

  • I know how time consuming it is, but you want to create a great game right? The best way to a great game is hard work, i think.

    I`m working with the RPGmaker XP, the monsters of my games are always animated.

  • I have well over 100 battler sprites, it would be next to impossible without shirking my daily duties to have that done by my planned release date for Chapter One by the summer. Sorry I'm usually very open to suggestions and taken them under advisement but creating animated battlers for the enemies would take up far too much time on a game this big. Obviously the guys at Square agreed with me here too. It's just too much hassle. But thanks for the input anyway. It's always welcome.

  • No, not at all, I like to have people give me helpful comments. It's just I'd kinda settled already when it came to the battles.

    I would be interested in getting something with graphics done. Though. PM me an MSN address or AIM or something so we can talk easier.

  • Sorry, but the battle system loks a little boring.

    Whats about animated monsters?

    Well, i know how friggin much work it is to create a battle system but i only want to say that this battle system isn`t incredible...

    Look at the german project Earthcraft...

    Its great.

  • The final product will have animated player character, but not animated monsters. It is far too time consuming to do that. Which is probably the reason they didn't do it in Final Fantasy's I-VI.
