Oprah, for all her money and fame, can't lose weight. Just goes to show you that just because someone has more money than any human being could ever possibly need, doesn't mean you have intelligence or common sense. Seriously. LOOK AT OPRAH. LULZ!
I read Taubes' latest book and am now on Atkins. On a related note, it's quite interesting how in this neo-pagan age evangelism about nutrition is replacing evangelism proper, that is, Christian evangelism. There are, of course, now many atheist apostles in addition to nutition apostles.
I don't think that if either Michelle Obama or Oprah read Good Calories, Bad Calories, that anything would come of it. They are such mainstream figures of nutrition that the political pressure would be too enormous for them to speak out against conventional wisdom. Consider the president's wife disagreeing with half of the most-resepcted medical authorities in the nation - it's not going to happen.
Grant here, from Rivendell. I wrote the intro, noticed a typo at the end, and want to acknowledge it and say sorry. "Through" should be "through." You knew that, but still...done!

Can you please, please, please fix letter spacing and leading in your introductory text? It's unreadable at best.
