If the ending of KH revealed several Darksides, can you imagine how many of these bastards are wandering around the Dark Realm? They're probably the Vasto Lordes of the Heartless realm while Shadows are the Gillian-class Menos.

Nah. I'd say that Darksides are more akin to Menos Grandes. Invisibles are closer to Vasto Lordes. Shadows are just normal, run of the mill Hollows.

I can certainly appreciate the connection made here, considering I thought of it as well, but despite that, I get the impression that Heartless aren't that easy to classify in such a matter.

Not really. I just like the idea. As a size to killing power ratio thing, Invisibles do seem to be the most powerful Heartless though. Other than Xehanort's Heartless, of course. Though from what I've seen, the Red-Eyed Heartless is a formidable beast as well.

@OniLink96 That's certainly true. I've had more trouble from the Invisibles than with the Darksides. Then again, I owe that more to the Invisibles actually being quick with the ability to block, while the Darkside remains a standing target with three easy-to-hit weakpoints. Not to mention how easy it is to avoid the Darkside's attacks...

Well, the Menos that Ichigo and Uryu fought didn't seem to be particularly tough in any way other than being gihugic. There was the thing's Cero blasts that nearly did Ichigo in, but still... The Darkside Sora fought in his Awakening could have nearly done him in with its heart-gap energy ball thing, depending on how you did in the fight.

Xehanort tried to recreate the process heartless did when blackening a heart using a machine, ended up making almost identical heartless, the emblem heartless.

@Ereniath That can't be true. Remember when that man in Traverse Town got turned into a Heartless? He was turned into a Soldier,and Soldiers are Emblem Heartless.

@quietwyvern Sora became a pureblood heartless because he stabbed himself with the dark keyblade, creating a new heartless naturally. Anyone can become an emblem heartless if they're hearts are taken by emblem heartless. Xehanort had created the emblem heartless sometime after BBS. I find it suspicous that only emblem heartless release hearts, I wonder if he'd been plannig that all along...

@Delfino224 It's in the Ansem Reports in KH1. It talks all about the experiments Xehanort. under Ansem's name, did on the darkness of the heart, such as creating the emblem heartless years before the events of KH1.

@quietwyvern Yeah. It is. They say that the strength of the Heartless depends on the strength of the original person's heart,but Sora's is really strong so how was he turned into a tiny little Shadow? maybe it's the darkness in their heart? and sora's is mostly light so maybe that's it.

@Exlon13 also, emblem heartless weren't created until Xehanort started fiddling with the purebloods, and he ended up creating artificial heartless that could gather hearts and thus become more powerful. Those... were the emblem heartless. Of course, since emblem heartless contained hearts, and the keyblade could release those hearts and send them to kingdom hearts; Orgainization 13 used them as middlemen to accomplish their ultimate goal.

@Bowsakirby If I remember correctly, in the reports he implied that the emblem heartless originally looked just like purebloods, and were given the emblems to be differentiated.

@Bowsakirby you are correct, originaly roxas was used to gather them because sora was out, but when xion came they were able to get them faster, of course when both of them disappeared and sora awoke from slumper, he was there main tool again
