Atom boms and H bombs have different affects in certain areas, a naval bombing would obviously be more sufficient with the newly developed H bombs, whereas in town/city's with a high level of construction and industry, an Atom bomb would cause greater damage...

The reson why the explsions are so big from "H bombs" Is because of the uranium/plutonium.. In fision/fusion bombs basically the attoms/nuetrons colide between one another to make a lighter material and that lighter material weighs less than its original state and the resulting difference in weight converts to energy/ explosion. Hydrogen is only used to kick start the chain reaction in uranium/plutonium, the explosion itself doesnt come from the hydrogen.
