I used to do retro 50s styles on my Grandma when I was in cosmetology school, because she still wore her hair like that. When I started, I used slightly wet wrapping paper (the kind used for perms) at the end of the rolls. It really keeps the ends nice for beginners and it's

cheap. You can also use them as cheap face oil blotting papers. Fun video.

do you have any recommendations for girls who have naturally long curly hair (and i mean super curly)...do i have to straighten it and then re-curl it? sounds silly but i'm serious lol

@MissJessicaDelgado I have crazy curly hair, too. I blow out all of my hair, and then I straighten the first few inches of hair from my roots. Depending on the style, I straighten more or less of my roots. The heat of the curling iron should eliminate any frizz left from the blow dryer. I don't recommend straightening all of your hair because it won't the curl at all or it won't hold the curl for very long. Good luck!

Well done on a fun, informative video. It's weird, I've been rolling my hair with the exact same rollers and formation for years and even using the scarf - it's like you've been spying on me!! My only tip would be to use a really soft bristle brush to smooth out your top layer of backcombing and don't over brush as you can loose the definition of the curl. Also if you're loosing your curl, don't re-wash, just spritz hair with Got2b guardian angel and re-roll, hair will be even better next day !
