  • Depending their CPU is not the bottleneck.

  • scripted

  • just how many "gamers" have 5 year old gaming pcs.

  • @ativus222

ЛОл Gamer не значит Entusiast,а Игральшик lol!

  • What the fuck? They call themself "gamers", only invest <700 dollars? You kidding me?

  • Ничего

  • @nativus222 Yes, problem?

Until games become more demanding, I am not willing to spend tons of money for something that grows obsolete the next year.

  • These answers seem rigged imo.

  • lame video. sorry. so lame.

  • I second this. That video was completely stupid.

  • IF ATI wanted to make my card, it would be a card that focus's on FPS not Visual. You would get upwards of 300 to 1000fps but with low graphics (which no card does anyway). My card would be the ultimate "run the game smoothly" over "omg orgasmic visuals". A GAME IS A GAME and does NOT need to be realistic. Fin.

  • well , if developers did not focus in making game realistic , then every game that we would be playing today will have the graphic of the first doom.

  • don't get me wrong, its not BAD to update the shit, but it shouldn't be the main focus. I was never a main focus back then for games to look more and more like real life. They just wanted to make a game that was fun to play. Today, they put "fun" into the secondary category where visuals used to be, and visuals is #1.

  • well , everyone has their opinion

  • well, yeah....

look at BioWare and their move on The Old Republic. THEY KNOW that FUN is better than VISUALS. And their game will showcase that fact (not realistic, stylized realism). The game is already being boasted as bigger than all of their previous games combined, and their old games were pretty big. I cant wait for it, and the great thing is, my friends who aren't computer nerds can play since they don't need to rush out and buy 1000 worth of new gear just to play it.

  • No, you can get 300 FPS... It's just totally useless since most monitors are built to display 60 FPS and you can't perceive anything much smoother than that..

  • bullshit ,, 8800gts is 60 buxx ,well its jus 320mb of gddr3 but im sure it perfoms same as 4770 ,, bull il go for 4770 cuz t eats less energy

  • LOLOLOLOL this is sooooooooooo staged

  • Lol this looks really, really staged, but the 4770 is a great deal. Even I got one lol and planning on getting another one to set up crossfire.

  • 500 dollars? That kid was smoking crack!

  • im looking for the best

GPU ever for the price of 0 pounds and 0 pence!

  • 0 pounds and 0 pence ?

Just close your eyes and use your imagination.

There you see great graphics for free :o)

  • burberrybedroom you can suck my dick for that price

  • look out of the window XD

  • I bought 2 ATI 4870 cards, AMD quad core 2.9, WD 250 HD, 4 gb DDR 2, SB Extreame gamer soundcard, Sony cdr/dvd/cdrw, Toughpower 1,000 w power supply, Thermaltake full tower gameing case all for around $1,100

  • fake -.-

They are talking just if they memorized something and trying to remember it.

AMD should start asking real gamers...

  • Comment removed

  • woooo AMD!!!! <3

  • They all talk about DX 10.1 while some of them haven't updated their comps for "5 years". Vista retailed in January 2007 meaning DX 10(and 10.1) wasn't capable of being done until 2007 meaning these guys are liars!!!

  • There is a substantial difference between having dx10.1 and knowing about it.

If your going to pick on this ad, use a better argument (lord knows, there are many of them)

  • I dont wanna sound eh hem ***ist, but theres a female, this is fake.

  • @GundamTotema Shut up, females game.

  • Lolz @ DX 10.1 - couldn't be more obvious this is scripted.

  • dudes if u wonna game at high resolutions you shouldint be looking at no shitty 4770.its a great card for 100$ no doubt, but for high resolutions, you better be looking at a gtx275 and above, who the fuck r they kidding.

  • or 4870 x 2

  • not offending but nvidia is crap, AMD for ever AMD image quality>nvidia AMD memory architecture DDR 5>nvidia tell me... AMD has the lead in gta 4, with their 4870 x2 boosts max 60 fps with everything on maximum and res on max too.. even tho.. it is run by an I7 microprocessor but still.. ton of processor and no videocard is nothing.. Nvidia doesnt have dx 10.1 architecture support yet. Amd for ever. FREE HL2 DM AND LOST COAST.
  • that is all true but nvidia has the upper hand with crysis. but i do like both brands, its just i prefer phyz-x to DX10.1 as i don't notice too much difference

  • yeap, theres something special when you play crysis on a ati, I remember i played like at 30 fps but with tweaks i could make it run at 50, just disabled some crappy particles which appeared in the grass.

  • Either this people don't know what they are saying or paid to say it. They were willing to pay 300 to 600 dollars for a video card upgrade. It is true that if you pay that amount you'll get great framerates. They were suprised that you'll get good performance for 99 dollars but even before this card was priced at that amount they are existing cards that are priced similarly and well below the 300 dollar mark., offering decent performance. So what gives?

  • 2:20 BEAVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha

  • this is the fakest shit ever, dumb ass hoes, bahahahaha they all looked like they had no idea wtf they were talking about, "directx10.1? if it's newer why not right" bahaha

  • i guess one lil piece a' fan would lower the price

  • so wish they used that cooler that ati uses...that sexc one at the ending...

  • I have a 8800@9800GT, it's enough for me today, but I'm really impressed with ati's new technology, the 40nm cores with low power consumption. It's the future in videographics cards.

I changed from 775 to am2+ and I'm saving some money to get an AMD Ph II 720 940 or 955 BE, impressive records in Overclock!!

  • if u wont use it can you send it to me? i hae a 8600gts256mb :(

  • I never said I don't use it, I use it a lot, but may be in the future I'll upgrade it.

The market want us to buy every year new hardware, but this is not good, becouse there are more important things to buy. If you guys have money, just spend it but responsability.

Good choise for the future is performance+low power consumption+low prices= AMD ;)

  • HD 4770 scores P8086 on vantage..

  • The 8800s play Crysis fine. They're great cards. Just a slightly underclocked 9800 card.

  • lol, you can tell they were told what to say. There's only a select few amount of people who are actually willing to spend 300-500 dollars on a graphics card which is really only for computer enthusiast unless u actually need it for your line of work

  • lol this is all staged

  • He's got a point, the GT cards are legendary, but all good things come to an end. Screens are getting bigger and bigger, and the older cards just don't have enough memory to cope with that. You need at least 1GB to play the latest games, I'm using a 4850 X2 2GB, and that does the job for me.

  • idiots... graphics card looses about 80% of value in 3 year

its cheaper just to buy yesterdays tech,,, e.g u can get a 9600GT that will outperforme a 3870 for about £50

  • Comment removed

  • And I forgot, I get 25 FPS average on all HIGH setting in crysis. And i can play every other game just fine on 1080p resolution on very high setting. THE 8800GT has been out for more than a year and half and its still competitive towards other cards, so theres no reason to upgrade.

  • The 8800GT was a great card, yes, but it's reign came to an end.

  • But it will be remembered as a legend.

  • Comment removed

  • The card is now out in Newegg, get it while it lasts!

  • why is AMD comparing their new card for a 2 years old card ?? it is unfair AMD should compare it to GTS 250 GTX 260 not the 2 year old card the 8800gt/9800gt

hmm i got a 9800gt and i can play the latest game without lag

  • um probably because they all have the same architecture, the only difference is the die shrink...

  • on what lcd 17? 9800gt sux

  • The GTX 250 is the exact same card as a 9800. NVIDIA just renamed it to get some attention :P

    8800 65nm > 9800 (8800 with a die shrink) > GTX 250 (exact same card as 9800)

    Way to innovate NVIDIA :P

  • lol. they just slapped a better fan on it =D

  • GTS 250 is renamed 9800gt/8800gt x

or X+ correct me if im wrong

  • Go see AMD's HD 4770 slide, it's hilarious.

  • Hehe, i've seen it, hilarious xD

  • LOL............... this is an entry level video card ( for an excellent price!!! )

    do the math stupid

  • i will stil buy nvidia chipset rather than choosing ATI chipset

  • Your loss.

  • because you are dumbass

  • Compelling argument.

  • No, this is a mid-range card at an awesome price.

  • oh i guess i was thinking

    entry, high, enthusiast

    and you were thinking

    entry, mid-range, enthusiast?

    w/e i meant mid range

and being at 40nm this is a create card for overclocking it probably to perform as good as a 260

  • No, it won't perform that well. OC'd, it may perform a little better than a 4850, but certainly not in the 4870/GTX260 area.

  • can see there acting, 10.1 to 10 for a real gamer has no difference if a cheaper card is more powerful.

  • $300-600? wtf what time period is he living in? were in a freaking recession. for me $200 TOPS. even at $200 i would wait and think about it. And if they cant make that GPU be good enough, guess what? I will wait.

  • Oh and i have an 8800GT, which still runs the latest games on everything high, or nearly high setting just fine. So ATi PLEASE make some affordable cards for the future that are better than 8800GT!

  • well for your information the very card u have can be out performed by the 4770 for $99. the 8800 is a good card, but for 2 years ago

  • My friend has a 4870 that along with his Phenom II X4 2.8GHz CPU maxed Crysis out with 8x anti-aliasing, and it wasn't even lagging a lot, and then I told him for the best performace use 2x as there's too much geo in Crysis.

Don't forget the 4870 is less than $200.

  • HD4850 > 8800GT.

    HD4870 > 8800GT.

HD4850 and HD4870 is really affordably and kicks Nvidia in every single respect for that money. So today 8800GT is kind of bogus for the money as the red team delivers a significant punch for hat money.

  • People who bought the 8800GT back then have no need for those cards. The 8800GT card still suffices for next generation gaming.

  • While nVidia has PhysX I prefer ATI because overall it has simple Display Driver installation and separate Catalyst Control Center installation... With nVidia you must download the whole Driver Suite which takes resources... So for a Single Card Setup which I run I always choose ATI with Simple Display Drivers! ATI FTW!!!

  • nice idea but not to hate on ati but if u want to get the eye candy [physx] just get the physx card i did its worth it only got it for 45$ brand new]

  • Or just run PhysX on the CPU..... of course it'll be intensive, but whatever. It's a bunch of new innovations called quad-core and overclocking. Most games don't even max out a dual-core.

  • Plus AMD is working with Havok to cook up some GPU-based physics calculations too - so there is competition brewing in that areas as well. The Nvidia PhysX is kind of flawed too - there is times where the GPU-physX gets a significant performance drop compared to the CPU method as the GPU becomes a bottleneck.

  • OMG I been waiting for this!!! its in stores ? i dont see it in new egg...
